Alien Abduction
On March 9th, The Washington Post published an article describing multiple mysterious occurrences between the Military, specifically, U.S Navy F-18 fighters and unidentified objects and released two declassified videos from the Defence Department of the events occuring. Personally, I wholeheartedly believe extraterrestrial life exists vastly throughout the Universe, yet, intelligent alien life exists but is less common. I believe intelligent alien life and, moreover, alien abductions exist due to various reasons such as how extensive the history of alien abductions date back to, renowned scientists and their popular theory that thoroughly supports alien life, modern-day events that involved alien abduction and finally, various

This theory contains the three main schools of thought. Firstly, that aliens bred with our primitive forebearers and thus, creating the modern man. The second, quite similar, is that aliens preformed genetic engineering on apes and thereby creating Homosapiens and our intelligence. Thirdly, that we are the product of aliens who inhabited Earth. Additionally, it claims aliens came down from space as “astronauts” and made contact with humans in prehistoric times. Skeptics often resort to using mathematical facts to disprove alien life, travel, and abductions. For example, one skeptics has discredited the possibility of alien abductions because of how vast our Universe is and how long travel would be no matter how fast aliens were to travel. According to a post on Skepdic.com, one user calculated that, for reference, that “The next nearest star to Earth's sun (Alpha Centauri) is about 4 light-years away. That might sound close, but it is actually something like 24 trillion miles away. Even traveling at one million miles an hour, it would take more than 2,500 years to get there. To get there in under thirty years would require traveling at more than 100 million miles an hour for the entire trip. Even our fastest spacecraft, Voyager, which travels 40,000 miles an hour, would take 72,000 years to get to Alpha Centauri.” Skeptics claim that there is no possibility, unless through travelling at a speed significantly faster than the speed of light, there is no way aliens - if they were to exist- would be able to achieve interplanetary travel the ways we describe it to be like. The Area 51 military base has been one of America’s most controversial places. Controversies ranging from unidentified flying objects (UFO’s), alien sightings to highly advanced military technology. Alien abduction stories have always held a strong interest among people all over the world, captivating our attention and curiosity as they propose yet another unsolved mystery of gigantic proportions and unthinkable consequences for humanity to contemplate. Even though, there is much debate about the purpose of the aliens, there is more agreement about the types of aliens that are reported. . At the town of Roswell an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash landed in the quiet little town. Many Roswell residents testified that they saw a burning object plummet toward the ground before exploding upon impact. The Air Force's initial reaction to the incident was to tell the world that they did not know what it was. This shows me evidence that they had no “protocol” for this kind of occurrence, thus the Military leader stepped in and covered everything up. There are many conspiracies that people say have happened at the Roswell crash in the summer of 1947 in Roswell New Mexico. Whether or not the Roswell incident truly involved a UFO remains unclear. How ever, the military cover-up only served to fuel the fire of our imaginations. Interest continues to grow, as questions remain unanswered. Even Bill Clinton has been quoted as saying “…If the United States Air Force did recover alien bodies, they didn’t tell me about it either, and I want to know”(qtd. in Wright 105).
The thought of government cover-ups have been long discussed. The government has always, in the past, tried to keep any sign of aliens, whether it be pictures from space, to crashes on earth, to a low or nonexistent level. Just recently has the government been harassed to the point where they actually gave us clues to alien existence. It has in some ways been believed that the government has worked in partnership with popular movie directors, to produce alien movies to ease the thought that we may not be alone. Undoubtedly, with over 10 000 cases, the sheer amount of reported UFO sightings and abductions is startling. In July 1947, an airborne object crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. Rancher Mac Braezel examined the debris which appeared to be mostly metallic and plastic scraps. However, it was damaged beyond identification of its origin. He brought some of the material to his neighbours who attempted burning it, cutting it, and yet, it would not be damaged. They also tried bending it, too which it would dent momentarily before peculiarly molding back to its original form. Mac hurriedly contacted the local sheriff, who then, in disbelief, contacted two military officers to the debris field, also in dubiety, they brought some of the material they had found to the Roswell Army Air Base. Shortly thereafter, another local along with some students on an expedition, discovered a disk-shaped aircraft about two miles from the debris field, which had four small humanoid bodies scattered around its vicinity....
