Are competitive sports in school beneficial for kids?

YAY I WE’VE JUST WON THE TOURNAMENT!!! A lot of people think that competitive sports are not beneficial for kids, but I think competitive sports are really beneficial for younger kids. Competitive sports help build a stronger person. Kids can learn a lot about discipline and their academics, they’ll want to learn in school because if they don’t they can get kicked off the team. Also sports at school can help kids stay fit and healthy. This can decrease obesity and kids that are overweight. Competitive sports can help kids with their problem solving skills. Kids won’t back out of a challenge they’ll keep trying to finish it. First of all, kids will get better in their academics, and learning at school. Some people might say that kids can still develop problem solving skills without playing a sport. But kids who participate in afterschool sports are better at working together than other students. Kids who have great problem solving skills know how to finish a challenge that they may face later on in life. They can put an end their problem and not back away from it. Kids who don’t compete in school sports might not put effort in their challenge and quickly back away from it. Kids need to put a lot of effort and try to solve a problem. Students who compete in school sports know how to finish an argument and not cause a fight. According to the article, Active Kids Do Better in School, “Other research also shows that active children do better in school, are better able to concentrate, and even exhibit fewer behavior problems”. Some people might argue that kids can still learn to solve problems even though they don’t play an after school sport. They might say that kids can learn to work and develop problem solving skills without going to play
