Archaeologists are a group of professional people who study the prehistory and history of the humanity by analyzing the artifacts, inscriptions, and monuments. Most of them work in research organizations, government, and universities. Although it is a hard career to pursue because of the work conditions, archaeologists still pursue in this career because they know how important their job is. An experienced archaeologist earns 63,190 dollars a year; a senior archaeologist earns 81,430 dollars a year; a top end archaeologist earns 99,590 dollars a year. Washington D.C., New York, and Pennsylvania are top choices for archaeologists to employ because the average salaries for archaeologists in these places are tops in the United States. Although serving as archaeologists is a great work according to the average salaries, half of the archaeologists are taking this job as a part-time job(“Archaeologist” Sokanu”). According to Ms Gardiner, a recent graduate, now doing a one-year heritage internship, “Most employers will want you to have archaeological experience as well as your degree but getting the experience can be difficult - you need to do volunteer work so you will also probably need a paid job to support yourself”("Dig Around For Career Options in Archaeology"). People will struggle with lives during the internship because they just get little paid and their works require tons of time and patient although they receive some financial aids from the research organizations. Moreover, some people give up on their career in archaeology. However, if people continue with their passion, their work experience will get better.
