Product/Outcome Specifications
I have done a significant amount of research about eco-friendly architecture and from that research, I have designed an eco-friendly house in Autodesk Inventor (an engineering program on the computer). The house I have designed includes all the most of the aspects an eco-friendly house would need including solar panels, a turbine, underfloor heating, and loft insulation. Since my final product is not only a product but also an outcome, there are criteria for the product but also areas that must be met in order for me to have successfully achieved my goal.
In order to be successful, my product/ outcome will show:
A house that I will design with all criteria discussed in Appendix A

In Appendix A, you can see the LEED rating system. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and it is a rating system devised by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to evaluate the environmental performance of a building and encourage market transformation towards sustainable design. This allows the product to be easily ranked according to each of the band levels. The chart includes categories such as Innovation and Design, Location and Linkages, Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Air Quality, and Awareness and Education.
Developing a Plan to Complete Project
In order to complete my project, a strict plan had to be made with due dates to ensure that none of the work was procrastinated or that I did not have sufficient time to complete. Most of these plans can be seen in Appendix B. A series of time periods were sectioned and small goals were set for each time period. This way all of the work would get done on time and
Nonetheless, establishing timing standards for the project, pertaining to an estimated date of completion, along with a schedule for conducting tests, is critical, according to information provided by the SANS Institute (source). For example, projects that exceed the estimated date of completion may become costly, and running tests during peak and/or critical hours may result in several technological inefficiencies for Alexander Rocco Corporation. Likewise, establishing future meetings or other form of communications for updates throughout the course of the project is also
Queensland tourism has identified key trends that may shape future tourism, including extreme events, technological development and tourism demand. Consequently, this allows the State to put forward an adequate plan focusing on the domestic market and increasing digital experience through technological advancements. Nevertheless, Queensland tourism’s strategies to capture Asian market and developing transport systems, especially air transport, may not be effective in the light of political unrest, thus, need a number of adjustments accordingly. Appendix 3 provides a detailed comparison between S1 and Destination Success plan.
Researching to see if there are finished examples that may be similar to what is being designed would be helpful. It won’t be the exact same thing but there may be some parts that would be comparable. You may also find that the design you are contemplating has been attempted and if problems arose with that project, then you would know what to expect and possibly how to avoid them in your project. Also, making sure that all of the know variables are available. Every project is different and the variables specific for that project need to be known.
Building a home Planning each of the building construction steps can be overwhelming even to an experienced home builder. According to the lifelong learning web resource, ThoughtCo, the five key steps of constructing a home are namely; budget planning, analyzing building cost, picking a lot, identifying the construction teams and negotiating a contract. During the planning stage, you need to establish how much you want to spend on building the home. If you have a good financial standing, you can apply for a loan and mortgage. To avoid common financial pitfalls, always seek professional opinion from a financial expert.
As part of that planning, there are major decisions that must be made. A few of those many decisions are creating a realistic timeframe, creating and acknowledging
Calendar A great idea to stay on target with timeframes, is to create a project calendar with all task due dates listed on it. This will help the team ensure the larger end goal is reached on time. Developing a work plan can take a lot of time and communication.
To organize and complete our project in a timely, quality and financially responsible manner, we need to schedule our project carefully. Effective project scheduling plays a crucial role in ensuring project success. To keep our project on track, we need to set realistic time frames, assign resources appropriately and manage quality to decrease product errors (Duggan, n.d. para. 1). We should strive to work smarter and not harder, and proper planning will make our job easier in the long run. We should ensure that we are following established practices and using standardized tools during the planning stage and throughout the life of the project.
Whereby LEED Reference Guide in (2009) which is confirmed on a whole-building approach for sustainability by assessing the performance in six main groups. The certification LEED based on the number of "points" (table) that for each building able to get in each of six
Since there are so many types LEED does not certify certain buildings because they would not fall under certain criteria. This is where different LEED partners come in, they are part of the Green Building Council. LEED use to certify parking garages but in 2009 parking garages could no longer get a certification from LEED because 75% or more the floor space is used to allow vehicles to rotate through (USGBC). Parksmart is a certification process that allows parking structures to be qualified to be green. Like LEED, Parksmart has different levels of certification: Bronze, Silver, and Gold which are all based on a point system also pioneer level is available for existing structures (USGBC). Another partner is PEER which is Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal. PEER is a certification process that monitor’s how electricity is generated and being transferred making sure energy is not lost through this process (Certification). A certification can be achieved in three different area: campus project, city project, and supply project. Each of these areas has different assessment to determine whether or not they qualify for the PEER certification

I propose that you make a date-book of due dates to track what you have to
Most people are fully aware of the dates the work is due, but most of us get the impression that we have a lot a time before we need to start working on it. So we set it aside to do later and then before we know it, it is too late. The first step to help avoid procrastination is to have a planner. Having a planner will allow you to keep track of all your assignments and their due dates. This way, you will know that you have to finish each assignment by a certain date.
For process and product layouts, the design begins with a statement of the goals and facility. Preliminary layouts are then designed to meet these goals. After initial designs have been developed, improved designs are sought through numerical analysis and discussion with the users. The development of a layout should involve everyone that it is effecting. Computer based models can be used for preliminary estimations to create some preliminary layouts using CAD or similar drawing software. The layouts then can be analyzed against the goals of the facility and improvement made if necessary.
PMBOK guide defines TM as the “Use of available time and your own productivity along with the appropriate planning and management of the project schedule” highlighting the link between Time Management and productivity and its closely knit relationship to scope and cost areas. Max Wideman presents a wider definition for TM as the “function required to maintain appropriate allocation of time to the overall conduct of the project through the successive stages of its natural life-cycle, by means of the processes of time planning, time estimating, time scheduling, and schedule control.” Ultimately at it’s core however, TM is about time, its planning and control during all stages of the project. A further look into Wideman’s definition of TM by means of identifying its importance throughout the entire project life-cycle (Initiation, planning, execution, controlling and close-out) is required. It is hoped that by analysing how TM tools and techniques can positively and negatively effect the different stages of the Project life cycle a better understanding of productivity, TM and project success will result.
