What is personality? Personality is a mix of traits, the way you behave, and certain patterns that all go towards making up our personalities. The way we look at situations and perceive things play a part in our personality. People with healthy personalities can function normally and usually fit in easily. People with personality disorders tent to struggle to fit into society. They typically stand out and have trouble trying to be involved. Many people with personality disorders show symptoms or signs at an early age. Childhood experiences can influence the way a child’s personality develops. People with this disorder can also be known as a psychopath or sociopath. Antisocial personality disorder is a chronic mental condition. A person with this disorder has an impaired way of thinking and perception. People with this condition normally have no concern for what is right or wrong. They often do not care about others or have any regard for their feelings or well-being. They are commonly known to have no guilt for any wrongdoings. More often than not they tend to at some point end up in correctional facility. They normally do not socialize well with other people and have been known to manipulate them for their benefit. This is a mental condition that is sometimes loosely used without the real understanding of the condition. True cases of people with this disorder think of themselves very highly. They always prioritize themselves over other people. They also, like antisocial disorder, have little or no empathy for others. In all areas of their lives they have a need to be the best at all things. They also have a need to be the center of attention. They normally can not have close healthy relationships. Even though they project a very high and strong confidence, they are usually very sensitive to criticism. They are also insecure and constantly seeking approval.
