Annemarie was another protagonist unlike ellen (who was jewish) annemarie was a christian she was a very brave character, when annemarie encountered a nazi she acted like kirsti so she could be brave. Annemarie was very shocked after the holocaust she was revealed stuff about the handkerchief like how it stuned the dogs noses from using rabbits blood to lure them in and cocaine to stun the dogs sense of smell. However she was quite timid when the old nazis interrogated ellen to see if she was a jew so annemarie hid her necklace. During that moment when annemarie and ellen where reunited it was revealed that peter and lise where a part of a danish resistance and that peter died from a execution and lise died from a car accident after a ressistince meeting. Ellen had been separated from annemarie for 2 years due to ellens family going bankrupt from dept so when ellen and annemarie reunited they hadn’t recognized each other for they had got taller and a festival that was celebrated after the two (ellen and annemarie) where reunited the festival was celebrated because the war was over about the war

There are many stories, diaries and books from the time of The Holocaust but arguably the most famous of them all is the story of Anne Frank. Anne's optimistic personality created the hope that she had for her future. Each day she could do nothing but just hope that one day everything will turn around and be better. In The Diary Of Anne Frank play, she expressed, "It'll pass, maybe not for hundreds of years, but someday..." Deep down inside, she had the hope that all of the disgusting things that Hitler alongside his army performed, would all vanish one day. She knew for the most part that the hatred may never go away, but imagining that it might, made things at least a bit better. Anne's situation was pure negativity, with almost nothing good about it. The only good thing that may have come out of it for her were the relationships that she created with everyone in hiding with her. From the Van Daans, to Miep, she bonded amazing friendships with each person involved. Aside from that, Anne's personality stuck out more than anyone's because of the hope that she had, in such a terrible situation.

Ellen mentions that the more she lives the more her hatred grows for the North. If anyone is to talk about the war she will want to leave the room. In the novel, “The Age of Innocence” two of the main characters come to be introduced in the first chapter where they are seen at the Opera house. Newland Archer, a well respected lawyer of New York looks across from his box seat to see his newly engaged fiancée May Welland. Sitting next to her, he sees May’s mother and aunt. Next to them he sees a woman who is familiar to him-she is May’s cousin, Ellen Olenska. These two women play important roles throughout the whole novel. There are two different personality types which are displayed in both May and Ellen.

Anne Frank was a 13-year-old Jewish girl who was thrown into one of the worst periods in the history of the world; the Holocaust. Though she went through awful things that many people will never experience, she always kept the faith that there was still some good in everyone. She once said, “Despite everything I still believe people are truly good at heart.” Her diary, which she kept while her family was in hiding from the Nazis, shows the triumph of her spirit over the evil in the world even through the pain of adolescence. The Franks and Van Dans were hiding and they suffered many hardships, mentally and physically. Many people in Anne’s situation would have become bitter and resentful, but Anne never would despair.

However, soon, they realized that they had not been liberated yet from the claws of discrimination when Anne’s elder sister, Margot, was summoned by the S.S., the elite Nazi guards, for a call-up, implying that she would be sent to a concentration camp.
