Should We Still Use Animals in Medical Research? Nowadays everyone knows that all mankind is not vegetarian which means the large majority of people eat meat from animals. We know that millions of animals are killed every day to serve our meal. However, there has been something crucial that is still unknown to or ignored. By many of us or Do you know animals have also been ruthlessly used for a long time in medical research? If not, now you do. Medical researchers are testing cures for human diseases on some animals in labs, and these animals are dreadfully suffering from such a practice. The question is: should we allow or ban the use of these animals in medical research? Unfortunately, until we find a substitute for animals, we must still use them, but make it more humane. Using animals in research labs are like us, and they should never be mistreat. It is due to the fact that they have biological or physical similarities with us, they are being used for developing life-saving treatments for us and themselves. However, these animals live a nightmare in many labs for scientific experiments. As a result, an activist on animals, Jane Goodall has visited several laboratories, where chimps and some primates were captive and mistreated. She was shocked by what she saw, and she struggled for improving these animals’ conditions. Besides Goodall, some workers in labs do not condone the animals’ mistreatment; also, they people quit their job. Like Jane Goodall, many people and organizations are struggling today to improve animals’ treatment not only in laboratories, but for every structure. At last, we must use animals for experiments until find substitute, but we should make sure they are suffering from mistreatment in any
