Anemia is a condition in which the body has a low number of red blood cells in the body. Anemia is also known as blood disease that occurs when the blood of the person does not have enough hemoglobin. Hemoglobin iron-rich protein that gives blood its red color. It also helps the human body to transport oxygen from the lungs to the body. There are different causes of anemia, but there are preventions and treatment as well.

The causes of anemia depends highly on the type of anemia that the person might have. Anemia has been divided into three different causes the groups are blood loss, lack of red blood cell production, and high rates of red blood cell destruction. The most common type of anemia is blood loss which can go on without being detected for over a long period of time. For example, ulcers, gastritis using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, heavy menstruation and even childbirth. Lack of red blood cell production is another causes of anemia this cause can either be inherited or acquired. High rates of red blood cell destruction is a cause that can either be acquired or inherited. The preventions are not as difficult as everybody might think. A person need to take iron for example beans, dark green leafy vegetables and meats are rich in iron. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent anemia this vitamin is naturally founded by dairy products and meat. Vitamin C helps increases iron absorption. Folate is like B vitamin it can be found on citrus fruits and juices, vegetables, legumes, dark green leafy vegetables, and cereals and pasta. Taking some of this things into consideration can help you prevent anemia because your body will avoid iron deficiency. Another good way to prevent anemia is taking into consideration family history it would help you understand what kind of disease your child might be exposed
