I was given four different Nike advertisements and was told to look at them and analyze them. When I look at all of the advertisements that I was given for this assignment, I see that they are all different people. They also all play a different sport and portray a different aspect of that sport and a different aspect of athleticism. Some of these advertisements are trying to get the audience’s attention so that they will purchase the Nike items but some of the advertisements are telling a story or trying to get a point across to their audience. After analyzing this advertisement and thinking about what it could be talking about and who it could be pointed towards, I think that this Ad was trying to reach out to their audience about how basketball is such a great sport to be a part of. I also think their purpose and audience of this ad would be younger basketball fans and people who love and or play the sport of basketball. Nike was really focusing on basketball and its qualities of why it is such a great sport to play. In the picture, it also has the phrase “You will notice. You will scream. Instead of trying to sell something physical to the audience it was more of aspiring to prove a point or tell a story to the readers. People stare at him because of his illness not because they know of all the good he has done and that is what this ad is setting out and purposing to their audience. Just because someone is different does not mean they are not great, it does not mean that it will stop them from doing big things. Something that really made this advertisement hit me hard was that when I was in Middle school and freshman year of High school there was a boy who was born without one of his arms. It was extremely hard for him because he always wanted to be a baseball player and he really struggled emotionally with that aspect. But he ended up participating in cross country and he ended up being an awesome runner and one our best, so when I saw this advertisement it was
