In the Parable of the Good Samaritan a lawyers asks Jesus a question “Who is my neighbor”? Jesus then tells him who do pray upon and what does the law say and then the lawyer responds and says that you should love God with all of your heart and soul and with all of your strength and mind. Jesus tells him that is right and you answered the question correctly. Jesus explains to the lawyer that a man was going across Jerusalem to Jericho and the man got beat down by burglars and they left him alone completely exhausted and almost dead. A cleric came through the road and when he saw the man who got beat down he moved across the opposite side. When the Levite came and saw the man he also moved across the opposite side. To make this understandable the lawyer did not ask Jesus how he could get to paradise after he passes on. His question was about receiving an everlasting life and about having a portion of God’s new beginning. The question is in concern into having the Lords new empire and about returning after you die. In the gospels of Israel, obeying the Torah is the key for receiving land. The question that the lawyer had was about the empire that Jesus was introducing. The question that lawyers asks is if the never ending life and inheriting of the land is established in the Torah? Does Jesus assert that God had pledges to Israel? This question is asked in the teachings of Mark, Matt, and Luke. Jesus asks the lawyer what is drafted in the law and what does it say? The lawyer then responds with a verse from the Shema. Jesus then tells the lawyer that he has gave the correct response and then says that if you do this then you will live. The lawyer gives his reply and says that kingdom that the lord Jesus Christ declares is in the gospels and the laws of Israeli
