Which lip balm formulation will provide better moisturization, feel, taste and smell?
Hypothesis
If each lip balm has different ingredients and formulation, then the results for each lip balm will turn out differently; the moisturization, taste, feel and smell will all be different.

Lip balm was invented by Dr. Charles Brown Fleet. He invented it in the 1880’s as a way to moisturize your lips. Lip balms seal your lips to protect it from losing its own moisture. Lips cannot make its own oils to keep your skin moisturized. Applying lip balm is important for overall health because skin on your lips is like none other on the body. They were all able to moisturize the subjects’ lips, but at different levels. The surveys the subjects filled out showed that each lip balm had good moisturization. As suspected, The Peppermint Lip Balm, which included beeswax, almond oil and shea butter provided the best moisturization and feel. The other two were close behind. The Kiwi Strawberry Lip balm, which contained beeswax and almond oil, and the Pina Colada lip balm, which contained beeswax and Shea butter had almost identical results in the moisturization and feel category. (All products contained the same amount of beeswax). Essential Oils (Peppermint, Strawberry Kiwi and Pina Colada) were added to give the lip balms a nice fragrance and taste. The subjects surveys showed that they agreed that all 3 lip balms had a nice smell but, the essential oils did not come through too well in taste.
A third of the way through the experiment a problem was encountered. One of the subjects got sick and was only able to provide feedback on the Peppermint lip balm. The four brands I chose were Orbit, Trident, Ice Breakers, and Wrigley's Doublemint My hypothesis was that Trident brand would last the longest and Wrigley's Doublemint would last the shortest. I did not use any people in my test. I chewed the same amount of gum at a time and the gum was all the same flavor, mint. All the gum was bought at the same time from the same store. I chewed the four brands of gums between periods of time. When chewing, I timed myself with a stopwatch. When I believed the gum ran out of flavor, I stopped the timmer and recorded the time. The design for this study will be a simple between subject experiment consisting of one experimental group and one control group. The independent variable will be warm colors. The dependent variable will be mood. The main goal is to determine if the independent variable will influence or cause difference in the specified dependent variable. The experiment group will spend 60 minutes in a warm paint color room and their mood will be measured. The control group will spend 60 minutes in a neutral paint color room and their mood will be measured.
