The lack of parking space has been a continual problem for students attending Blinn College at Bryan. The parking lot consists of about only 3,000 parking spots (Dirt Begins to Fly on Blinn’s Bryan Campus as Parking Lot Expansion Takes Shape). Between Texas A&M and Blinn students, over 50,000 students will attend Blinn which is far more than the small amount of parking space (Blinn College Bryan Campus). As a student attending Blinn College at Bryan, I find that parking is a difficult matter for most students and suggest an immediate expansion of parking lots or addition of parking garages.
Parking space for any type of organization or company is always limited to the amount of property owned. This issue can relate to just about anyone who commutes to work, school, or …show more content…

This solution may seem easy to a student, like myself, but I also realize this is easier said than done. Blinn College at Bryan executive employees will have to meet in order to discuss the problem at hand, and they will then have to figure out which solution maximizes the benefits of students and stays within the financial budget. After researching the issue, I came up with a more specific and financially efficient solution to the problem with parking on the Bryan campus. The parking lot consists of parking spots (handicap and regular), landscaping, and entrances and exits. Blinn College could potentially save thousands of dollars if they simply reconstructed and remodeled the parking lot. The addition of more parking spots, or even a parking garage, would require one entrance and one exit, as well as, minimal landscaping and medians or curbs. This solution will cost the college some money, but in the long run, higher student satisfaction levels will promote a better working environment for
