Recommended: Electric cars disadvantages

Did you know that more than 2.5 million metric tons of carbon is produced by power plants annually? (Green Energy Choice). These plants are contaminating the air and making the oxygen one breaths in worse and worse. If one converted to alternative energy, they are cutting out the need to make more energy the old way and keeps less contaminates in the air. Alternative energy can be used by an electric car instead of a standard car today. By using the electric car, there would be zero emissions entering the atmosphere and hurting the environment and others around the land. Fossil fuels are eventually going to run out unlike water and solar power. There is not an endless supply of fossil fuels and thats why more people should start to convert to alternative energy. What if one day a person was running out of gas and saw that the nearest gas station had run out of fuel? One would not have this problem if they were running on an alternate energy source that never ran out. People may take fossil fuels for granted now, but will struggle when they see that they can no longer receive fuel for their car. I believe that renewable energy sources should replace fossil fuels because they are plentiful and friendly to the environment.
Our future depends on moving away from fossil fuels and relying more on alternative energy. If something is not changed soon, the world will be met with an epidemic due to the amount of CO2 emissions in the air. “We can't afford to wait any longer to build a clean-energy economy with wind and solar energy that is safe and doesn't threaten our climate future” (Brune). Waiting will only make problems worse for future generations of peoples kids. They will be the ones paying for the destruction that eve...

If one decides to switch to alternative energy, they will be cutting emissions down a little now and even more in the future when more technology releases. Alternative energy is used all around one another in things like electric cars, and homes that are powered by solar panels. Fossil fuels will run out sometime and thats why renewable energy is the key because the energy is never ending like oil. This gives a strong backbone for electricity for future generations so they do not have to rely on fossil fuels if they run out. Though alternative energy is still in the baby stages, inventors are creating new ways to capture renewable energy everyday. With all the greatness alternative energy has to offer, there is no reason why one should not switch from fossil fuel and move to alternative energy in the near future.
