4C-Well Developed Paragraph Assignment In terms of society, an age restriction should be passed down in Canada when it comes to the act of alcohol consumption. For one, it may prevent the risk of death or suicide accidents from prevailing in terms of reducing impaired driving. Second, alcohol, in general can be linked to chronic health related issues ultimately causing damage towards an individual’s body, both, physically and emotionally through a certain period of time. Thirdly, for certain individuals who come from a variety of different cultures, for some, it is not socially accepted for them to drink in the eyes of society. “Statistics state that on average between 1,250 and 1,500 lives are able to inflict approximately 64,000 injuries each year in Canada due to impaired driving. What’s most interesting is that people who are young are particularly vulnerable when driving under poor circumstances. Youths who have died in car accidents, a whapping 45% of these deaths have been linked to the use of alcohol. What is an absolute atrocity to hear is that people who are under the age of twenty five, ultimately, one in every three people die in a car accident that is alcohol-related. Common excuses people use when driving in this manner often had said: “I only had a few drinks”. “I feel fine.” Or “I only drove a short distance.” However, in the end these excuses prove to be utterly insignificant when innocent lives have either been injured or taken in the process because people are in denial and are simply refusing to take responsibility for their own …show more content…

In terms of practicing and carrying out different beliefs on what it morally accepted people choose to remain faithful towards their religion instead of defying or going against certain morals and values that have been set in place. “In the Islamic religion people believe that individuals should not ingest alcohol. They believe this because for the obvious reason people can become addictive, ultimately allowing their judgement to be clattered causing them to create poor decisions which can lead people to dabble in illicit activities and experiment with various types of alcohol and drugs. By drinking alcohol in general, it could possibly lead to the obvious exception of suicide. In addition, if adults choose to have a few drinks whilst being in the presence of their own child or children, the youngsters themselves can become easily influenced allowing their curiosity to lead them into the unknown world of alcohol, unfortunately causing them to lose their innocence.” Furthermore, in Islam it is a sin when it comes to the act of drinking because it states in the Quran “Muslim bible” that alcohol is strictly forbidden.
