A gift to our mankind, a freedom fighter and a great person the world would ever know Abraham Lincoln. He was born in February 12th, 1809 in Kentucky. He was a self-taught Illinois lawyer as well as legislator with a reputation in his community with expressive opponents of slavery. He was one who took first step to abolish slavery. He was assassinated in 1865 by John Wilkes Booth at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C. Today I am going to discuss on the letter of Abraham Lincoln to his son’s teacher before commencement of his son school.
The letter was written by President Abraham Lincoln to his son’s teacher. The author was political individual. The intended audience was his son’s teacher. It is a letter that describes what his son should learn from his school to be a person with good morale. The basic assumptions are simple and easy from the first line to the last line Lincoln advices with love for his son as well as says the teacher to handle him with care. And the author does not mention any foreign or engineering terms. Yes, I can believe this letter as it has been translated into various languages. Even in my country Nepal, which takes almost a day to travel from United States, I read the letter in my fourth or fifth grade, matter of fact it was in Nepali language. And with this I can say it’s reliable and likely. We can learn that the society was in the development phase all the people did not have primary education and the industry was in the developing phase too.
