When a woman is pregnant and cannot afford to keep the child, the woman can decide to abort the child. Poverty can also be linked to a higher risk of mental health problems like anxiety and depression. This can be because of someone’s lack of understanding and awareness of mental illness or because of someone’s lack of access to healthcare.
