I selected the pathway programme I’m currently in to help fulfill my lifelong dream of studying economics, you see when I was twelve years of age I read an article written in Business Insider entitled “There’s a larger, Scarier Fiscal Cliff That No One Is Talking About”. The article in essence describes the dangers of, or pertaining to the increase in interest rates, coupled with the (at the time of writing) projection of a 20 trln National Debt. Given I was at the age where you’re most susceptible to new ideas, I became fascinated with that topic, and others of similar nature in the field of Economics. You could almost liken it to jumping down a rabbit hole, as that’s exactly what happened. The choosing of this programme’s the natural first step …show more content…
From my purview the University out of those I visited seemed to fit my background almost perfectly. Having come from a small-town in the Mid-Atlantic, Canterbury seemed to be somewhat similar in terms of feel. The people that I met also filled that box, with everybody being courteous, responding in a courteous way to my questions regarding the area. This was much the same at the University, from what I observed in my time there. Furthermore, the University itself seemed top-notch, the Library itself being absolutely massive. Along with the facilities in the varying Colleges appearing to be among the best, I simply came to believe that the atmosphere, and the tools available to me were reason enough to firm my offer. The positive impression it left upon myself, led to the firming of the offer on my ride back to St. Pancras.
The degree should prepare myself greatly for life after graduation, given the circumstances behind the degree. Firstly, the Year in Industry will give me an idea of what it’s like to work in a professional environment, doing what I love. The experience garnered from this will certainly be worth its weight in

People have been trying to come up with solutions to threatening epidemics from many years. There was a famine in Ireland that killed many people. The poor people of Ireland could not support their families, which made them go to extreme measures. In order to survive, women and children were forced to beg for food to prevent them from starving to death. Jonathan Swift proposes a solution to this epidemic in A Modest Proposal. Swift states that the poor Irish should sell their children as if they were cattle, or better yet, eat the children themselves. Swift uses a mocking tone in order to effectively convey that he does not actually support cannibalism, but rather uses it as metaphor to describe the harsh times of Ireland.

To My Dearest Ernest, I write this to you, blushing and grinning at the prospect of us spending the rest of our lives with each other. While pondering your union with mamma, one of my dearest carriage men has just offered me a delectable dish of fresh scones with jam and a pot of English breakfast tea to bide my time. I sit here alone in this carriage with diary, pen and the urge to run back to you to be embellished with your words of love and the ritual of your proposal. However, during this moment of separation, I have some time to reflect. At this very moment instead showering me with promises of endless love and devotion I am under the assumption that you are being interrogated by mamma regarding our potential marriage.
In order to pursue a career in fundraising, it is optimal to have an education background in programs such as business, marketing, communications, or event management. A bachelor’s degree is typically required. In addition to these courses, “industry-related training through a professional association” is highly recommended (Maggie). My proposal needs someone who has a great vision to see through and a vast staggering wealth like you. Each year there are more or less 100 Thai students who come to America to further study and obtain their doctoral degree by accepting the Thai government scholarship. The truth is that this is not a real scholarship but a highest interest rate loan I have ever seen. Though Buckingham is a private university it goes through the same economic challenges as other universities, more so because they don’t have the safety net of the government for shortfall of cash. Therefore the emphasis of student retention/graduation and enhancement has become more important than ever to institutions in terms of accountability and rankings and recent national initiatives have focused on collegiate academic outcomes. (Radcliffe, 2006) We've seen this as the University of Buckingham have made it a priority year after to finish number one overall in student satisfaction.
