5WPR is a public relations firm based out of New York City (5WPR, 2017). This public relations firm prides itself on being ranked one of the top 20 independent PR firms by O’Dwyer, and it has been honored as PR agency of the year three years in a row (5WPR, 2017). This firm, as mentioned, is an independent public relations firm. Due to this, it is involved in many facets of public relations. 5WPR sets itself apart by being able to handle corporate communications, crisis communication, travel and hospitality, food and beverage, public affairs/ government relations, and many more. According to 5WPR’s website, it is able to effectively handle all these facets because of the hard work put in by 130 individuals (5WPR). This company prides itself on all the awards it has won as an independent firm, and all the big brand name companies it does work for. In similar fashion to many companies, 5WPR has both strengths and weaknesses. In 2016, 5WPR launched a campaign for Welch’s that partnered it with the nonprofit organization Feeding America. 5WPR worked alongside the company Promotion in Motion, which produces Welch’s to help Welch’s promote a campaign in which Welch’s donates a certain amount of money to Feeding America for every product they sell (Promotion in Motion, 2017). In addition to this, 5WPR also helped Sparkling Ice break into the beverage industry. In 2012, Sparkling Ice hired 5WPR to help get its beverage into the mind of consumers. It wanted to be a popular alternative to water and carbonated beverages (5WPR, 2016).
