4 Day School Week

School should be four days a week with three day weekends. There is many ways to help out as students and employers throughout the workforce. This may strike some as a childish statement; however some ideas are worth thinking about. Just one extra day on the weekend could totally change are moods and personalities toward school. Then students could get plenty of rest and have more family time because studies show students are at school more than they are with our families.

First things first, I am not promoting less school; I am stating that an extra day on the weekend could be beneficial. Depending on your state, there are a certain number of hours required for each class. There is a way to work out a schedule for a four day school week, like adding on a couple hours or somthing that way you still get the four day week. …show more content…

Besides holidays, the school year is tough for hanging out, even on the weekends. The average high school student’s Saturday consists of some type of sporting event, weekend homework, and very little if any hang out time. Then comes Sundays where we all watch an nba game or something and procrastinate worrying about homework, that never gets done on time. There might be some free time involved on certain weekends, but it is rare for there to be enough time to really relax and enjoy a day. A free day could consist of a student’s own time to themselves or with friends and quality family time.
