With the new fads of Chinese character tattoo's, Hindu god t-shirts, and the selling of such things as Native sweat lodge kits and ceremonies, does this not show that North Americans can appreciate other cultures and that western culture has become a product of a multicultural society.1 Through examples of film and art, sports, and religion, I will answer the following questions and specifically how cultural appropriation has affected North American First Nation peoples. The term of Transnational Corporation (TNC), as its name suggests, is a reference to a firm whose influence is not limited to a single nation. “A transnational corporation is a firm that has the power to coordinate and control operations in more than one country” (Dicken, 2011, p. 110). This influence can take many forms such as subsidiaries or production facilities in other countries, but ownership is not mandatory for a corporation to have sway in another country. A TNC could gain power in a country other than its home through connections to suppliers or through the act of outsourcing (Stevis, Transnational Corporations, 2013).

Multinational firms arise because capital is much more mobile than labour, since cheap labour and raw material are located in other countries, multinational firms establish there.
Trewilliger (1972) mentioned four conditions for schools to be considered international: they should contain a large number of students who are not citizens of the host country; national and foreign directors to serve the students; staffing policy that makes teachers able to guide students to adjust to the new cultural and social situation; the academic content introducing students to national systems of the host country.
