ADVANTAGES:

A cellular tower is basically a low power, multi-channel two-way radio, which communicates with individual phones. According to the U.S Food and Drug Administration, the FCC (Federal Communication Commission) and the zoning board which consists of the members of the cell phone companies maintain that the cell towers do not pose any kind of health hazards to public. As per the report of The American Cancer society and the WHO(World Health Organization) they did not find any evidence of adverse health effects of RF signals. There is always a specific threshold level of radiation to cause mayhem to public health. And as per standards set by the governing bodies the energy level emitted by cell phone towers are lower than what we are actually exposed to in our homes since appliances such as microwave ovens emits much higher radiation. Moreover the energy radiating from cell tower is much less as compared to other types of radiation UV rays , X rays which can cause cancer. The Cell Tower and cell phones connecting to it, emit radio-frequency energy, which is similar to radio and television. There are two types of antennae one is that which broadcasts wave horizontally, the other Vertically. The radiation from cellular phone tower travels parallel to the ground ie directly towards the horizon and moreover the radiation power level decreases as one move away from the tower and thus the level of exposure is minimum at the ground level. Added advantage of cell phone tower is increase in data rate and cellular network coverage, increase in capacity, reduction in call congestion, reduction in call drop. Additionally, addressing the concern of the people regarding the spoilage of a great view and the tower obstructing it, the cellular providers can have plans of hiding tower that can be placed by changing its geometric structure in plain sight. And with this adjustment that is with the hidden view of the tower there will not arise any questions regarding decline in the property value. Now, the arguments on construction noise and traffic cannot be considered as justified points since they are temporary till the tower is totally set up since once it is set up there it will be of much beneficial to the village home owners itself. And even if the home owners do not agree, under the law of Eminent Domain cellular tower providers can install the tower.
