Adolf Hitler is one of the most well known figures of the twentieth century. His power was far reaching and exceptionally destructive. Because of Hitler, one out of every three european jews lost their lives. Entire communities suddenly disappeared and over ten-million people were murdered because of his racial, ethnic, and political policies (Bigelow). In Adolf Hitler’s push towards a harsh dictatorship, through his use of propaganda, strategic military power, and his mass genocidal tactics, Adolf Hitler negatively impacted Germany and eventually the world because of his role in World War Two.
Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau, Austria. When Hitler was eighteen years old, he traveled to Vienna, Austria to take an entrance exam for the Academy of Fine Arts. He was devastated to find out his drawings he had submitted were not good enough to get him accepted. The schools director suggested that he go finish his high school career, then apply to the School of Architecture. Later, in 1907 Hitler's mother passed away. He was heartbroken. He reapplied to the Academy in 1908 but was rejected yet again. For the next five years Hitler roamed the streets of Vienna, making what ever money he could, by painting portraits and other art (Bigelow). This was when Hitler's hatred for Jews grew. He blamed Jews for his own lack of success. He even blamed the Jews for Germany’s enormous war reparations from World War One. Hitler paid close attention to public events, and learned about the use of propaganda. He began delivering speeches, persuading people to view things a certain way including his anti-semitic attitude. Adolf Hitler was born April 20, 1889 to Klara and Alois Hitler in a small town in Austria called Braunau. Braunau was located about 65 miles from munich and about 30 miles north from Salzburg. Adolf grew up not having as much money as they would like but still made it work with what they had. Adolfs dad, Alois Hitler was a mid- level customs worker while his mom did not have a job so she could take care of the children. He had five siblings, but only one survived childhood due to illnesses and lack of medicine. Paula Hitler, his sister was the only sibling that survived childhood while Gustav, Ida, Otto, and Edmund. Besides them, he did have a stepbrother named Alois and step-sister named Angela from his father's previous marriages. His father had two marriages before Adolf was born. Adolf’s father was fifty-one when he had him, and died when Adolf was only thirteen. Adolfs mom, Klara had died of breast cancer in 1908 (Early Years).

Adolf Hitler was born in Austria but later on became a German solider. He went to Germany after both his parents died, and after he was rejected from an art college. During WWI Hitler was injured twice. While he was in the hospital recovering, he found out that Germany lost the war, and he became furious. Once he got out, he joined the Nazi party and tried to overthrow the government. In the end, he was only arrested, but while he was in jail, he wrote his book, Mein Kamphf. Once he got out of jail he decided to politicaly take over. He did rallies and once everyone started to like him, he was elected Chancellor. He changed laws to make all of his future plans legal, and once the Headmaster of Germany died, Hitler became the most power. Everything he did was legal there. He made this plan called the Final Solution, that if any allied troops got into his strongholds, he would back out and take everyone down with him. This included the mass killing of almost all remaining jews. He only did this so he couldnt get charged with any crime, so there would be no witnisses, but that plan failed big time.

After being enrolled in school, young Adolf excelled in school, promising a bright future. By 1933, Hitler had the support of the German people and was named Chancellor by President Hindenburg and Nazis had the most power in Parliament.

During the time Adolf Hitler was dictator, he had managed to wipe out 6 million of the 9 million Jews living in Germany and surrounding areas and had managed to kill nearly 40 million people, which included 27 million in the Soviet Union. His political program sent the world into war which left Eastern and Central Europe devastated and impoverished. The defeat of Hitler, marked the end of Germany controlling Europe and ended fascism.
