Back in the day when I was very little, I remember that my dad used to take care of me. He would never let me run around the house when glass could off break and hurt me. As I kept growing up my father started to give more freedom but also gave me more responsibilities; like he wanted me to do the chores of the house, not all of them but some. I knew they were not mine to do but I still help. When I went off to college and I had to do all by myself, I realize that my father did good on making me do my laundry, chores and etc., when I was young. Besides I knew that I had to do my chores for me to go out with friends. Although I had this kind of responsibilities at a young age I can say that it helped in life. But because some parents overprotective their children and they are not exposing to real life, children might not know how to function in society when their parents die.

In the story of “A Rose For Emily” by William Faulkner. Mister Grierson, Emily’s father seems to control everything that went around of Emily. He was a controlling figure to her. As the narrator was telling us the story I notice in few lines things that her father used to do to keep her home. Actions like he would scare guys away interested on Emily. He did this stuff because he wanted her to stay home and take care of the house. Where to mine point of view he would have more control over her actions and would not let her out of the house.

In my perspective I think that people who do not go out as often as normal people do, might develop some kind of mental disease because of the isolation. It was clearly pointed out by the narrator that Mister Grierson wanted to keep Emily for his housekeeping. “Emily’s huge burden of psychological determinism [could ...

...nition of her dignity as the last Grierson.” Those last two phrases refers that Miss Emily demanded respect, and to be treated always like a lady. She had fallen in love with Homer, she thought he was the man figured that she was missing. When he confessed his secret to her, she felt fool, humiliated; because she had planes for both, because she risked her last name for laborer. Homer then had paid the consequences.

Emily’s father rose her with lots of authority, he might had ruined her life by not giving her the opportunity to live a normal lady/woman life; but he build a personality, character and a psycho woman. Mister Grierson was the responsible for Emily’s behavior, he thought her to always make others respect her. Homer’s actions of using her as a cover to his sexuality was not respectful at all, Emily did not know any better and poison him to death.
