Winston Smith from George Orwell’s 1984 is a creative thinker who starts off behaving like a common man, but in the end, he ends up rebelling against the ruling Party. Throughout the book, Winston revealed that he is an intelligent individual with interest in literature, he loses his fear in the Party over time, and is unable to control his emotions.

He has a decent job and doesn’t look very powerful. Compared to the strong and powerful Big Brother and O’Brien, Winston looks rather fragile and weak. However, his physical - - - - -appearance does not say all. Winston Smith is a very determined and rebellious - - - -citizen. He knows what he wants and he knows what he doesn’t want. He is ready to risk his life in order to beat external forces and defend his society. As the courageous man that he is, he is determined to change all that isn’t right. Unfortunately, his heroic approaches and tendencies are not very stable and resemble more of a brave human -being rather than hero. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
One of Winston’s more distinguishable traits is his bravery. This is shown to be characteristic of Winston because he decides to go against the Party willingly, despite working for it. The Party knows that there are people who are against them, and they always take the rebels captive and eventually kill them.”Your name was removed from the registers, every record of everything you had ever done was wiped out, your one time existence was denied and then
Winston’s change and expressions were miniscule resistance towards the whole society, but it still provides an example of an individual who chooses not to conform to society standards. Orwell expresses how even with a miniscule resistance towards conformity, we cannot get rid of it without the help of an entire society.

I admire Winston. Winston's attempt to fight the party is admirable because he was focused on something larger than himself. One thing that Winston did to fight the party was to rent a room in prole territory and do forbidden intimate actions with Julia.
Winston Churchill was a British prime minister from 1940-1945. Churchill was a statesman, orator, and author, most importantly he was a great leader. He is best remembered for successfully leading Britain through World War II. He held authentic, and inspiring speeches in attempt to keep his country’s spirits up. In which he succeeded.
... due to his unorthodoxy, such as maintaining a secret and promiscuous relationship with Julia, and the political ramifications of the sexual act; and lastly, the deconstruction of his individualism at the hands of the Party, due to its hunger for power over the mind. It is not surprising then, that among the imposing doctrines of the government of Big Brother, the character of Winston Smith was eventually wiped out. In conclusion, a passage from Winston’s diary:
By examining Churchill’s use of rhetoric we can see what exactly made him such a great leader. His speeches were able to do more damage to the Nazis than any bomb could have done because his language rallied the people together. His use of repetition proved his points and reminded the country of what mattered most. His descriptive words helped build up anger against the Nazi rule and persuade everyone to pull through the tough times. He used pronouns in such a way that it would personalize everything and help unify his country. Through his unique use of words Churchill was able to convince many that if they could just endure that they would at last be victorious (Bungay).
he is a man with a tragic flaw. Winston's fatalism, selfishness and isolation ultimately lead him to his
“Winston had dropped his habit of drinking gin at all hours. He seemed to have lost the need for it. He had grown fatter, his varicose ulcer had subsided, leaving only a brown stain on the skin above his ankle, his fits of coughing in the early morning had stopped. The process of life had ceased to be intolerable, he had no longer any impulse to make faces at the telescreen or shout curses at the top of his voice.”
In 1984, Winston was a character who showed many qualities but the strongest qualities that were shown were curiosity, being daring and rebellious. Daring qualities were shown by Winston when he wrote in his diary. Writing in his diary was daring because he was committing thoughtcrime, which could result in punishment. Winston was curious when O’Brien shut off the telescreen. His curiosity led him to ask O’Brien about why he could shut the telescreen off. Rebellious qualities were shown by Winston when he wanted to join the Brotherhood. Even though the strongest qualities Winston showed were curiosity, being daring, and rebellious; Winston still had many different qualities.
Winston Churchill spoke these words at the House Commons; his way of talking to people was a power which he held. Winston Churchill was born November, 30 1874, in Blenheim Palace. He was born into a wealthy family who treated Winston to a rich lifestyle. In 1893 Churchill entered the Royal Military College as a cadet, from here on he rose to the top ranks commanded with great authority. He began to have political speeches at the age of 23 when he talked to the primrose League. When he was 24 he wrote his first book entitled The Story of the Malakand Field Force. Churchill was elected to the House of Commons at the age of 26, being one of the youngest members. Winston was appointed Prime Minister of England on May 10th 1940. Winston’s 2 books that were published shows people that he is a respectable author who people can believe what he says during his speeches. In this speech Winston was talking to the members of the House of Commons, but this speech was more than trying to persuade elected officials, it was intended to speak to all people fighting against the Nazi Party. The purpose of this speech was to show the members of Commons that we must fight in this war and we must win, for if England shall lose the rest of the world would lose.
