A Hero: Oskar Schindler

How is a hero defined? A quote from ERAGON and it is about what a true hero is “He threw him-self in front of Eragon, his mouth open in a soundless snarl. The dagger struck him with a soft thump, and he landed heavily on his shoulder” (Eragon 266). This is an example of a true hero. Brom could have save himself and leave Eragon to die, but he chose to get the dagger in his side. Brom did not care if he died, only that Eragon live this is what a true hero is. To many people, Oskar Schindler is one of the greatest heroes because he saved many Jewish lives during the Holocaust. First this is about Oskar Schindler life and death.
Oskar Schindler was born on the year of 1908 in April on 28 in Svitavy in Moravia Ca province of the Austro Hungarian monarchy (1, 3). An interesting fact is that if he were still living today, he would have celebrate his 104 birthday (source 1). Oskar Schindler died in 1974. He was 66 years old when he died and he died in Argentina which he immigrated into in 1949 (9, 3). Next is about which side he was on before, beginning, and a little after the beginning.
Before the Holocaust started Oskar Schindler had sided with neither the Nazi nor the Jewish people. In the beginning of the Holocaust Oskar Schindler he decided to side with the Nazis. At first Oskar worked with the Nazis because he got workers for cheap. This change for some reasons, one was how the Nazis treated the Jewish people. Next, Oskar sided with the Jewish people against the Nazi’s (1, 9). The following is about Oskar Schindler and his life before the Holocaust.
Before the Holocaust Oskar Schindler was a Catholic and he was in the middle class social status. He went to a decent school and that is where he found friends who were Jewish. He was a...
