Wedding Speech for a Maid of Honor or Best Woman
Good evening. I would like to thank all of you for attending this joyful occasion.
For those of you that don't know me, I'm Hanah's friend Erica, sometimes known as "Natasha" or "Hanah's foot taller twin sister". I'm sure you read in the playbill/program that I used to work with her in the accounting department. We hit it off from the start - both having a love for drama, we spent not only our working days together but every night as well. We got into trouble a lot for talking too much - so much that it became necessary to write notes, crumple them up and throw them at each other when no one was looking.
Through the years we kept in contact while she went away to College and I even got to visit her in Seattle for a short period of time - a tip for everyone - the romantic-looking horse drawn carriage rides that take you through old town Seattle - aren't very romantic when the horse has gas problems......
Anyway, she finally came back from school and we spent practically everyday hanging out eating taco bell - she brought me ice cream in the hospital when my second child was born and became Auntie Hanah to both my girls.
She had finally come to the point of accepting the fact she was going to be an old maid at 24, when she called me one day and said she had lunch with some people from church and this guy named "Ray", who afterwards had asked her to com...

...e only time that you will have the upper hand in this union.
And to both of you a little advice: "To keep a marriage brimming with love in the loving cup- When you are wrong, admit it and when you are right, shut up!"
I now invite you all to stand and raise your glasses in a toast To Hanah and Ray, "Here's to marriage, that happy estate that resembles a pair of scissors: 'So joined that they cannot be separated, often moving in opposite directions, yet punishing anyone who comes between them.' - 'May your imperfections make you perfect for each other.' - 'May your wedding days be few and your anniversaries many.' - and 'May God bless your marriage and your home!' To love laughter and happily ever after!
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of the bridesmaids, I must thank Donald for his kind words. I must also thank all of you for coming today - I know how hard it is to get a day release.
Finally, on behalf of the bride and groom I would like to thank everyone for sharing their special day, it is a true millstone - sorry milestone in their lives. On behalf of myself I wish you'd all stayed at home - as things would have been a lot easier on me. I started planning this speech about 5 months ago and I expect you all feel like I've been delivering it equally as long. But now it gives me immense pleasure (not to mention relief) to invite you to all stand and raise your glasses in a toast to John and Angie. To love, laughter and happily ever after. To John and Angie CONGRATULATIONS
We used to play together as children; I remember going to sit on her porch while her mom made rum raisin ice cream. I am not sure how good that was for us, but it sure tasted delicious. We used to spend our summers swimming together at her house, and our winters warming our toes and drinking hot chocolate at my house.
Several now carry digital copies of literature sources. Understandably, some libraries exclusively allow and support for the purpose of electronic sources as being the primary foundation. Yet, some raise the concern that the libraries will be taken over and lose the mass number of physical books. However, in their Australian Academic & Research Libraries article “Practical Overlap: The Possibility of Replacing Print Books with E-Books,” Craig Anderson and Jeanie Pham point out, “This investigation [which tests if a library could go completely electronic] demonstrates that it appears unlikely that more than 26% of current print holdings could be replaced with e-books.” The percentage is not in the higher range of 70%. Therefore, it shows that there is still hope for books in libraries. Numerous children’s lives deal with reading books in the library. The abundant options of creative books a child could pick from is endless, and it would be an awful sight to see this iconic experience replaced with a kindle or
Remember being in first grade and reading the paperback Magic Treehouse book series where once you open the book and start reading the cover would never stay flat again, then in high school and college you were asked to analyze the books and you only had a small area to write your annotations on. Well what if I told you there was this form of technology called ebooks, otherwise known as digital versions of books and media that could change all that for the better? These e-books can be more beneficial to learning than traditional books, while also making reading more convenient and fun to do.
Paper books are ubiquitous, and there’s have a good reason for this: they have existed for centuries. Until the very concept of eReaders existed, there was no other option for modern reading material. Everyone knows what a paper book is. Additionally, many know how paper books are suffering because of the introduction of eReaders:. “Meanwhile, printed books declined 34 percent and 16 percent in those respective areas, with gentler, single-digit drops for education and religious titles.” (Engadget). It has been observed that every genre of books is suffering with the addition of electronic books to the market. It is a mystery whether or not paper books will be able to stay afloat.
Thank you very much. Thank you. You have all been very kind to Donald and me, to our young son Barron, and to our whole family. It's a very nice welcome and we're excited to be with you at this historic convention. I am so proud of your choice for president of the United States, my husband, Donald J. Trump.
For 10 years, we laughed and talked about how many kids we wanted, whether we wanted to live in the suburbs or the country, how many pets–not that it matters anymore. We met in my junior year of UW, I was a hopeful art student and she was a hospitality major. I was at my first frat party and became a little too inebriated to drive home and she was nice enough to help me out. After that she was there for everything; the long hauls of studying, decorating our apartment, buying our first car.
E-books have a restriction mainly due to copyright issues, and there is not an e-book for every printed book. Not all publishers produce e-book editions. Most e-books cannot be viewed completely until it’s been bought. Paper books on the other hand, are always available than e-books due to the copyright, international legalities, publishers’ decisions, and the preference or need of the consumer to own certain titles in print or other formats. Most books can be used freely in stores before being purchased. Paper book can be borrowed from libraries, shared between persons and even libraries. Since paper books can be shared one person can buy one book and can use that book he bought to read as many books as the person want. E-book cannot be photocopied, sent or exchange with anybody because of all these copyrights law. Anytime I buy an e-book, the only person who can use it is me which means I have to buy a book anytime I want to read a new one unless it’s free. In my opinion, print books are better than e-books in terms of availability.
E-book being portable can help one to carry a large number of books in a compact device weightlessly and effortlessly. E-book need not having to be printed saves the cost for ink, paper and binding. E-book does not need transportation which decreases the use of fuel and helps the environment. E-book has all the feature of an e-book in one place adding up to its cognitive benefit. Overall e-book is a well structured
Sensation is the first difference between the e-book and printed book. The readers cannot sense electronic books, they cannot touch them, and they cannot write on them his comments, but they can translate the words from e-books very easily; they can use the electronic dictionary to translate the word that they want to know its meaning easily. Unlike printed books, readers can touch the papers, they can flip them easily, they can put a sign on the page that they think that its important, and also they can write their notes on the papers of the book, but if they want to translate the word of the printed book, they have to look at the word in another place, and sometimes they cannot find the word easily. Moreover, printed books are more enjoyable than e-books, “A reader can focus on a single page of a paper book without losing sight of the whole text” (Jabr, 2013), nothing can distract the reader; it's also not harmful for their eyes unlike the e-book.
According to Jenkins (2008), e-books are books are any form of text converted into digital form and can be viewed over a network or read on any type of computer or portable device. Merriam-Webster meanwhile defines e-books as books which are composed in or converted to digital format for display on a computer screen or handheld device. E-books are part of the digital media which are digitized content that can be transmitted over internet or computer networks. E-books are becoming more and more preferred by readers over traditional or physical books. This is quite understandable given the many benefits that e-books possess. The following are among the advantages of e-books.
There are advantages and disadvantages to eReaders. Some of the advantages to eReaders is that they are lightweight. Rather than carrying around dozens of different books, the eReader can download them all, so portability is much easier. EBook users can also look up a certain text or part of a book using their eReader. Another great advantages to them is that they are good for the environment by saving trees.
“Parental Involvement in Schools” (2013) mentions that children who those are engaged with their parents in their education have better behavioral, better achievements in school, and have a higher potential to graduate high school compared to children who those are not engaged with their parents. This means that children’s behavior are affected by parental engagement in education, which is very significant for their life. For example, children who have behavioral issues could have higher possibilities of committing a crime would be unsuccessful in their life. Also, having better achievements in school could affect your life in certain ways, such as job career. Parental engagement in education may also affect children’s possibilities to graduate high school. These effects by parental engagement are influent to children’s behavior, which lead to children’s future. As a result, behavior is one of the effects of parents engaging with children’s
Well, that lasted about a year. I was finally growing up, getting busy, and we were losing touch. When we did write, all that I heard of were the boys she dated, and that her A's were dropping to C's. Every once in a while, I would ask my aunt how Carly was doing. The only answer I ever got was "She's fine."
