The Trip to Six Flags We’re both looking at the top of the roller coaster track begging and pleading that we be taken off. “I don’t want to ride, somebody get me off!” My life had flashed before my eyes as well as my best friends. We began to tell each other that we loved one another. Before we knew it we were at the top of the roller coaster looking down at all of the people who were walking around still living and breathing enjoying funnel cakes, turkey legs and ice cream. As for us at the top of the ride were having panic attacks and screaming as loud as we could but no one seemed to hear us. We were getting ready to have the ride of our lives. My best friend and I were so excited, we were going to Six Flags some where we haven’t been in years. Around this time we were twelve years old and thought we were the most adventurous people in the world. The night before going to Six Flags I spent the night over her house. My best friend and I couldn’t stop talking about the rides we would get on, which one would be first and what we were going to eat. …show more content…
Freeze first” my friend stated. “No, I think we should get on the American eagle first then Mr. Freeze.” With the most exciting yes ever my friend agreed “WE SHOULD!!” We stayed up most of the night talking and imagining how everything would be and how things had changed since we last went. My best friend explained to me that we needed to set an alarm for us to get up and be ready in the morning so we wouldn’t get left. “I say we get up at 6, take our showers, eat breakfast and be ready by 8 o clock.” “Sounds good to me” my friend agreed. With us being up so late her parents came in and told us we needed to go to sleep to be prepared for the long day we had ahead of us. So as instructed we prepared ourselves for bed but of course we were too excited to sleep. In all I think we received a total of two hours of
Six flags is a company that has 29 theme parks with a Chief Corporate Engineer, Larry Chickola. Larry overseas all the projects for the parks and has teams of engineers that help take care of technical issues and building and construction. All six flags projects have a comprehensive plan for completing the work in a timely fashion. They have written statements as to what work is to be done and dated schedules for completion. They also have to include tasks and sub tasks all being figured into the budget. There is a “work package,” which is a group of activities assigned to break down each task and sub task to fit these into manageable quotas. They feel this is the key to managing logistics.
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
When I was about 10 years old, my mom took me to a roller coaster theme park in Massachusetts. I was terribly afraid of the huge roller coaster that appeared in front of me, and while I waited in line, the anxiety of waiting to die in a roller coaster made my heart beat through my chest. The huge coaster went up and down and up and down, and even though my mom continuously asked me if I was sure that I wanted to go, I repeatedly said yes. I wanted to make it clear that I was a man, not a crying baby. Stepping onto that roller coaster was what I remember the most.
“Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs. But it’s your choice to scream or enjoy the ride.” At Six Flags Great America, people everywhere are screaming and enjoying the rides around them. With the many different types of rides, Six Flags is an all around entertainment park for people of all ages. Interestingly enough, what people may not know is that Six Flags is also a physics class. Through the many rides that people may go on, they experience velocity, gravity, motion, energy, etc. We tend to see the fun throughout Six Flags, but we miss that physics can be interpreted in our daily lives each and every day.
The next day I woke up without a worry on my mind. I fought with my siblings about who got to eat the last powdered sugar donut. Being the youngest, I obviously lost. As soon as we were done with breakfast, my cousins and I ran over to the lake to go for a quick swim. When we got back I heard that we were going to go for a ride through the country side.
I love spending time with my family on vacation. I got of the plane and I rode a bus that drives to your hotel so you can do whatever, explore the parks,go swimming. But first we went to our room after we checked in. we stayed at the Polynesian resort.I was so excited to see the parks and all of the cool decorations.
Machu Picchu was built around 1450 during the Inca Empire and was abandoned after the Spanish Conquest and was then later rediscovered. In 2007, it was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a great destination for students in photography school.
The families of the United States are very interesting families and backgrounds from all over the entire world, like some people may come from Africa, Asia, South America, and England; the Wynnes came from England. The families in Texas are no exception; the Wynne family is just like the others with a rich and juicy past. The Wynne family has a very juicy past like how they started out small but now have developed to be a large family with members almost everywhere, then when one of the largest amusement parks in the entire world gets involved everything is going to be changed.
It was a really bright morning when my cousin wanted me to go to Lakeside with her for her late Birthday I thought that sounded awful and boring but either way I still went. So then I said,” Sure I’d go with you,” but then when we got there some of those rides looked scary because I’ve never been there before in my life. Then later my cousin said,” We should go on the cyclone first,” but I have to tell you it looked like I was going to die
When my mom told me that we were going to Georgia to see my aunt and uncle, I was beyond excited. I was very surprised when my mom asked me since I was only thirteen at the time, and I never had gone on
My father, sisters, and I went to the top where the ride starts, and we sat in the front. The chairs slid in and I felt the sudden death feeling like every roller coaster. I’m still not used to that feeling. The seats and tension rose, getting higher and higher in emotion and height. I prayed, hoping for the ride to stop somehow. We reached the top and stopped right at the edge. Dropping straight down faster and faster, my frown turning to, “WHOOP YEAH!” While the Griffin slowed down, my heart pounded faster. The ride ended and the rest of my family went to my mom, “How was it?” My mother asked. I gasped for breath. I looked back at what happened today. About how I could’ve coward in fear of roller coasters, sitting, waiting on a bench for my family. Regretting my decision to stay, sitting instead of standing. Instead, today I stood and persisted through the eyes of my fear. Glancing back at reality, I shook myself from my thoughts. “Fun,” I finally responded. My eyes were full of stars for the rest of the
And nobody felt well. So we headed over to our cousins hotel room, who had gotten theirs the night before, so we could take a nap. Once we had arrived, it was quite early, and nobody felt well, so far the trip started off unpleasant, so we went to our friends hotel room, so we could get some rest. So we went to sleep and prepared for the next day.
The line went fairly quickly. We finally sat and I had held onto the bars for dear life. I wanted to get off, but I knew this was something I should do. Then, the instructor started the ride. I shook in fear. The ride started and we started elevating. I closed my eyes for a second and thought, I have to see what I am about to do! I opened them and saw how high I was. I felt like on top of the world for the moment. Slowly we reach up. Higher and higher up, up, up. We got to the top waited for a couple of seconds. All of a sudden, the moment we have been waiting for. The ride dropped I felt like I was falling. We went down so fast I didn’t have a chance to think. That was the part where I appreciated Katarina for motivating me to go on the ride that I now love. The ride after was pretty easy to go through. Just that one drop got
One day I entered in a Jet-Around-The-World Sweepstakes so that I could go to the Bahamas to Atlantis with my dad for a couple days. When I heard the news I was so excited that I won the sweepstakes that I entered in. I told my friend, Gabe, the news and he was so excited for me. I went home and told my dad that I won the sweepstakes and he was so happy that I won. We started packing for the trip so that we were ready when the day came.
I remember getting excited when my family told me we were going to Disneyland. When I was about seven years old, my parents told me we were going on vacation to Disneyland, the very next day, and I was so excited. I didn’t sleep that night because I was wide awake thinking about all the fun rides. The next morning, my family and I, started packing our bags for our family vacation. All of us were moving quickly, trying to make sure we had everything we needed, for our
