I'm so excited, I'm on a plane to Australia from London for my dad's job. He works as an author and he was invited for a conference. My mom and I were coming as well because we always wanted to go to Australia and this was the perfect opportunity. My friends Ana, Carole, Cathy and Sam were coming with their parents as well. We obviously had a lot of convincing to do and we had to make some compromises, but it all worked out and here we are. I've been on the plane for about five hours now watching movies. The plane was shaking a lot and making noise but I'm trusting that it's just turbulence. Some babies have started crying really loudly and it's driving me crazy! I just hope that the plane doesn't go down. THE PLANE IS GOING DOWN!
The trip included my mom, my best friend, her mom, and me. My spring break was being spent in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is very different than New York making it an adventure seeing as it was my first time ever going there. Going to a new place or even somewhere you’ve been before means you’re going to see new things and try new things. That was particularly what got me so excited for the trip in the first place.
It all started long long ago in a galaxy far far away. (9:00 Am)Waking up on warm morning as always something seemed wrong. The pod race was today. And I, a little kid was to be going up against full grown aliens that have been training for this longer than I've been alive. But I felt something, something guiding me, something that knows what to do better than any mortal could. But even with this mysterious force I guess we could call it , I'm still very nervous.
The air is thick with smoke and people are running amok-- their screams echoing in my ears. I’m looking through the cracks of the trees, but a figure has appeared and seated himself in front of my view. Their face isn’t visible, but I can assume they’re not here to assist these helpless people; they’re devising a plan to harm them like a lion preying on zebras.
and I didn't really want to even though most of me did want to. I want to first start by saying sorry about telling you that we didn't like each other. at first I honestly didn't think anything would happen between us. but I mean, things change yanno.
I never, ever write to you or to anyone in that case, but I wanted to let you know that I got in a fight. I got into a fight with this one chubby, oversized, and overweight kid named Stanley. We call him Caveman because he ain’t skinny that’s for sure. Huh. He thoughts he’s my friend, well he thoughts wrong. He ain’t my friend and he ain’t never gonna be. I was giving him a cookie. He don’t want it so he pushed me away. No one don’t take nuttin’ from Zig-zag unless he gives you it. So I pushed Stanley away because he started it. I ain’t listen to no one around me even when MOM told me to stop pushing Stanley away so many times that he fell on the floor. It was funny. Knowing me, if you fight with me, you get all of it and ya know
As we travelled across multiple runways preparing for our flight, I sat in my seat nervously. I was frightened because I had no idea what was about to happen. I could barely hear nearby chatter from other passengers over the loud sounds of the engines whirring. There was no turning back now.
I thought about your letter - of course we must ask questions. All the time. And a person like Melody would have a totally different take on things, which must be interesting. I even ask people that I know I’d disagree with, just to get another perspective. Strawberry festival?
Sophie clawed her way back into our hearts when she appeared on The Bachelorette, and we’ll soon get another dose of the blonde beauty -- as the host of Love Island.
It was a cold fall day in San Francisco, California. I was heading to San Jose with my school counselor and some friends to go backpacking for 5 days. I wanted to do something out of my comfort zone and this was definitely fit the description. We were going with a program called Outward Bound. It was my first time doing anything like that so I was feeling pretty anxious. Even though goosebumps were appearing on my skin, I managed to only have a on a t-shirt and some capri pants. I didn’t know what I was getting myself.
In less than a month we will have Christmas break. On Christmas evening we will be going to Florida. I am going to Florida with my parents, and my annoying brothers. The car trip there will be long and stressful , but at the end it will be all worth it. I hope my trip to Florida is amazing, I always feel so at home when I’m in Florida. I feel as if I should of been born there, I would be a great surfer dude!
ow this is amazing I have never been behind the scenes of a Carnival look at all these animals. Oh no what was that sound that I just heard it sounded like a horse, oh no it actually was a horse and now it's chasing me and it's fast, this is awful.
I feel privileged to be sharing our day with most of the friends and family who have been so important to us. Many of you have traveled from afar: Australia, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Singapore, Germany, the UK, and some of you have had to take time off work to be here. Thanks to all of you for the efforts and sacrifices you have made to be with us today.
It all started the day I woke up to my parents arguing. It was a warm morning, but you couldn't see the sky thanks to the thick and ashy dust clouds. I walked downstairs and my parents turned and looked at my. My mother greeted me with a warm smile and sighed “sweetheart we have to tell you something,” she said “we have to move.” This surprised me a bit. I love the house. I love this land I've grown up. “Why are we moving?” I asked surprised. She turned to look at my father who looked back at me. “The dust is to heavy out here, if we don't leave now we're going to go broke” my father said with a sad tone in his voice. I'm so surprised they are really making us leave. I can't believe it! I ran upstairs and started to pack my stuff with tears
The stewardess then directed me towards the back, away from the cockpit. I looked at my ticket and at what seat I'd be sitting in. I had to duck in and around people putting their luggage into the upper compartments and look for my number on the back of my seat that matched my ticket stamp. As I walked past one of the windows, I glanced out and saw the right wing. It somehow gave me reassurance that I'd be fine and I'd soon be having the time of my life. "I'll soon be in the air."
I’ve always had a rush of angst surge through my veins when thinking about my future, because most of my family comes from a long line of high school and college dropouts. This subsequently led to the urging of my family to get a life career around my middle school year. I’ve never understood the appeal of a family and kids, not in any cynical way, I’d just rather experience the world more before having children. What I’ve always wanted to do is travel the Earth. It’s a simple dream, but for me it’s a way of life I’ve always wanted to implement, but couldn’t. Ever since I was a kid, the one thing that made me happy was going to new places outside of Fresno, and California, but now I’ve gained an appreciation for nature and my surroundings, which only pushed my dream to new heights. To experience the world is to experience life, I say. I’ve already made a decision with a loved one to do this together in the years to come after college. After college, I have a choice to do this, save up as much money as possible for gas and hit the road while playing Rocket-man by Elton John.
