The score was 20-21, the Vikings were losing to the Cowboys with 3 seconds left, and they were at their own 47 yard line. The winner of the game would advance to the Super Bowl. Sam Bradford the Vikings star quarterback took the snap and handed the ball to to the Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson. Patterson began to run the the ball to the right side, but then he did something that nobody expected. Patterson stopped and threw the ball deep to wide receiver Adam Thielen. He caught the ball at the 10 yard line surrounded by two defenders. Right before being tackled Thielen lateraled the ball back Stefon Diggs, who ran untouched into the endzone for the winning touchdown. Everybody in the Cowboys Stadium was filled with rage. Jerry Jones the Cowboys owner had been on the field getting ready to celebrate a Cowboy’s victory. Except nobody knew where he had went. The Vikings were going to their first Super Bowl since 1977. The most exciting part was that the Vikings would be playing at U.S. Bank Stadium which was their own field. They would be the the first team in Super Bowl history to have home field advantage. It seemed as if it was destined. The Vikings got on their plane late that night. Everybody was happy and cheerful after their big win. When the Vikings took the field over three-fourths of the crowd were wearing solid purple and routing for the Vikies. The Vikings won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. The Browns received the opening kickoff and returned it to the house for a touchdown. The game did not appear to be a interesting one and they were only 13 second into it.
