Deer hunting is something people all over the world have done for many generations. Many enjoy hunting deer, and others don’t care much for it. Every true hunter has his or her own tricks for the game, but in order to kill a deer, you have to find the basic places they travel through every day. To begin with, you have to figure out where the deer are bedding. Deer tend to bed in areas where it is very thick and can’t be seen. The reason for this is because if they are in really thick brush then any predator has to come into the thick brush to get them. That will be very loud, and the deer will hear this and run. Deer also like to bed in bottoms. They do this because anything that comes into the bottom has to walk over a hill to get to it, and more that likely the deer will see it. Deer tend to follow the same path to their food sources everyday. In early season the best thing to find is a white oak tree. These trees have big green acorns that deer seem to like more that anything else, but they don’t produce acorns every year. So, you have to go out and scout, which means go and find a white oak with acorns on it and lots of deer manure under it. If the tree has deer manure under it that means deer have to be coming to that tree to eat. In late season deer are struggling to find food so you can help yourself out by making a food plot. A food plot is a field with things like corn, wheat, peas, rye grass, or clover that deer come to because they need food. This is a way easier way to kill the deer if you can make a good food plot. There are too many deer in the Wesselman Woods. The deer have eaten all the flowers and other flora. There have also been 8 car crashes involving deer, this imposes a dangerous threat to the civilians of Evansville. The deer have been invading people’s yards and eating their gardens. The deer are causing many problems that can’t be solved until the deer population is reduced.

At less than ten yards I took another shot. This time the deer did two somersaults and landed about seven feet from me. Excited I got up to take a look, the deer was definitely dead. He laid there on the ground in front of me with the nerves in his massive body still twitching. He was a nice ten point, this really made me happy because he was bigger than my brothers. My first shot had hit him in that shoulder, because I was probably shaking when I shot and this threw my shot off. My second shot went threw the neck and into the chest. After sitting and enjoying the moment I gutted him and drug him up to the house. This last season turned out to be my best ever because I was persistent and never gave up.
When people talk about deer, they are commonly talking about the North American Whitetail. That is because they are so prevalent in this country. They can be found in every state in the US. The only place where you will not find any whitetails is in parts of Arizona and California. In most states the whitetail is very prevalent, especially in the northeast. They are one of the most hunted animals in this area, particularly in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Despite the amount they are hunted, both in and out of season, you can not drive more than a few miles out of the towns without seeing one that was hit by a car. The deer population in this area just keeps growing. It is unclear what should be done to stop the over population of this beautiful creature. Perhaps different hunting seasons or longer seasons are the answer. Possibly we should focus more on the development of birth control for the female deer, or maybe repopulating wolves into the areas where the deer population is too great. Something has to be done.

Sometime the buck will be running the doe out of the woods. We have trees that buck had hit when they run through the woods they will be big deer. We got a two point on camera and dad seen it but didn’t shoot it he let it walk.When I go hunting I go to wal-mart first and get some stuff in a can for deer to come out and it works.Last year we killed an eight point out there it's horns from one side to the other side was nineteen inches

Hunting as we all know can be a very controversial sport in the eyes of the public. Hunting as described by Webster’s Dictionary is the activity or sport of chasing and killing wild animals. There are numerous different ways to hunt the same animal as well as innumerable different species of animals to hunt. Hunting includes trapping, shooting, and even fishing. Americans tend to hunt for the sport of it while citizens of other countries often depend on the catch of the prey to feed their families and communities.
Since the beginning of time man has been hunting animals for food. Even before fire, man needed to hunt, because hunting was the only way to eat. At first man used things such as spears and rocks to kill its prey. As man evolved, they started using bows and arrows. Next came an early model of what we use today, the firearm. It is powerful yet easy to carry around. It puts the animal through less suffering and is a lot more efficient than previous techniques. Hunting was once a necessity, but now it is a tradition, passed on from father to son as a way to spend time together, enjoy the outdoors, and experience what our ancestors went through in hunting their dinner. Since it is considered a sport some think we are killing off the deer population, when in actuality, “While most other big-game species have declined with the spread of urbanization, the whitetail has been able to adapt to its ever-changing environment. Hunting is a really old thing people do to feed their selves. It can be a fun sport for people who have spare time and get bored. If you hunt, there are only certain animals you can kill. People can kill deer, duck, elk, and squirrel. They can also feed yourself by catching fish like catfish, big mouth bass, small mouth bass, and bluegill. When people hunt, you have to get your licenses. Your licenses cost $15.00 for 1 day and that isn’t including deer, elk, turkey, or bear. If you want a 7 day licenses including everything, it costs $50.00. If you are 12-15 years old it costs $10.00, which is the youth hunting. (License and Permit Fees, 1). I waited for around thirty minutes and climbed down from my stand. I walked to the spot where the deer had been standing and recovered my arrow. I paced the distance from the arrow back to the tree where my stand was placed. The distance was twenty yards, only a five-yard difference off my estimate, but a drop of a foot in the trajectory of my arrow.
