A real tree gets very messy after the first week. An artificial tree usually never sheds one pin needle while a real tree sheds millions of them! With the artificial Christmas tree the set-up and take-down is very simple the real Christmas trees set-up and take-down is very very hard and messy.
In my family, we have this ritual were the Christmas tree is changed every 7 years to symbolize the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. Growing up I was always a family boy who loved holidays like Christmas; not only because it was the birth of Jesus Christ, but of course because it meant presents. My parents spoiled me and the fact that my biological parents were separated meant that I had two Christmas’s, so of course I always wanted tons of gifts when that time came around. I would put ridiculously expensive things at the time on my Christmas list like a Play Station 3, an iPhone 3GS, a $200 skateboard, and many other things that I knew my parents couldn 't afford, but somehow managed to appear under the Christmas tree. Every year it was something new, something bigger and better that I just had to have.

Wood has two big draw backs warping and rotting. Wood is prone to warp if it is not stored in constant humidity. Wood will rot if water gets into the wood. For wood to be structurally sound it cannot be rotten or warped. Wood has multiple causes, and if it is not solved, the effects could be dire.
