As once posted on Funky, a blog about the latest news, "Fire from the heart of London spreads through the blood of it's veins, making history from ashes" (“Metaphor…” quote #6). In 1666, the Great Fire of London destroyed and turned everything in its path to ashes and is remembered as one of the most historical devastations of Great Britain. The September fire lasted approximately four days. There are a number of different reasons why this fire was so destructive including a lack of response, building material, and of how close the buildings were together. There are other reasons but those three were the most significant. There were also theories regarding the number 666.
Many people believed that the number, 666, was superstitious. One year before the fire, a man by the name of Michel de Nostredame predicted that in the year 1666, there would be a great fire. Michel de Nostredame, or Nostradamus, was a Frenchman who lived in the 16th century. Some called him a ‘seer’, as he studied astrology and different sciences to predict the future. When he predicted the Great Fire of London he said, “The blood of the just will commit a fault at London, Burnt through lighting of twenty threes the six: The ancient lady will fall from her high place, Several of the same sect will be killed” (“Top 10…” No. 9). The “six” in the quote refers to either the six documented deaths or the year the fire occurred. “The ancient lady” is a reference to London. Others pointed to the writings of John the Evangelist to support the idea that the number six hundred sixty-six identified a particular beast. In the Book of Revelation, John wrote about the number, “It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on ...

The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire not only affected the city of New York, but also the rest of the country. It forever changed the way our country would look at safety regulations in factories and buildings. The fire proved to America what can and will happen if we over-look safety regulations and over-crowd buildings. Unfortunately, 146 lives are taken before we fully understand this concept.
On the fateful and unforgettable afternoon of June 17, 1972 Hotel Vendome experienced yet another fire. Actually it experienced several fires in different locations on this date. Electricians working on the first floor reported smoke coming from the upper floors, and a bartender reported smoke in the basement. All occupants in the basement café were safely escorted out, and 3 engine companies, 2 ladder companies, and 1 District Chief arrived on scene noticing ...
Fires were a very common obstacle at the time, but nothing was even close to the fire of 1871. On October 8th, firefighters received a call from the neighbor of Catherine O’Leary. Neighbors reported seeing a number of flames coming from the cow barn. Firemen instantly spotted the fire, but miscalculated how big it really was. This event was historically known as the Chicago Fire of 1871 (“People 7 Events”).
The extent of the average person’s knowledge of the Antichrist can be summed up as: a mythological satanic person associated with the number 666. An exhaustive study on end times Bible prophecy is beyond the scope of this book, but a brief description of the Antichrist is necessary.
The book of Daniel is one of the great books of the Bible and also one of the most debated books in the Bible. It contains details of the ministry of Daniel and some of the most perplexing and fulfilled prophecies. Christians often think that prophecy is not very difficult and a straight forward propositional prediction and fulfillment, but it is more complex than that. The interpretation of the apocalyptic genre is one of the main reasons for its difficulty. Today one of these perplexing passages from Daniel will be examined. Three approaches to the interpretation to Daniel 9:24-27 will be discussed along with positive and negative arguments for each.

Revelation chapter thirteen is the most well-known of all the biblical references to the Antichrist. It is the chapter that pop culture pulls its imagery from, including the Mark of the Beast and his number, 666. Ironically, because of its position in God’s end-time program, it will not have as much of an immediate direct connection to Donald Trump. Most of its details regard events that happen well into the tribulation period. Until we arrive at such a time, the particulars more or less still await fulfilment. That said, because of its central focus on the subject at hand, it would be worthwhile taking a closer look at the chapter. Except for the final verse, I will keep my comments brief. I strongly recommend getting a commentary on the Book of Revelation. Just make sure that it is from a futurist (Premillennial) perspective. Any Historist perspective that interprets the book as already fulfilled (called Preterism) is frankly in error and although may offer some biblical insights, is pretty much a waste of time.

Both Twain and London explain two dreadful San Francisco earthquakes that took place in 1865 and 1906. However, they target different aspects of the destruction the earthquakes caused. As Twain’s focus’ on the destruction of the people during the 1865 earthquake, London focus’ on the destruction of the city in the 1906 earthquake.
On the night of April 18, 1906, the whole town was woken by erratic shaking. Although the earthquake lasted under a measly minute, it caused significant damage. Many fires started all throughout the city; San Francisco burned in turmoil.

Originally, the author of Revelation is Jesus Christ, which God gave Him the vision, and signified by His angel to relay to His servant John. Entirely written by John consisting of his interpretation, and vision that Christ revealed to him in the form of an “apocalyptic” writing using symbols, images, and numbers. Many of the writings have similarities in the Old Testament, explicitly in the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The writings were characteristic of the time of persecution, also in prophecy to reveal and speak the mind of God, divulging things known only to Him (The Bible Guide). “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants’ things which must shortly come to

On top of the effects on the earth as well as humans, there is only one thing we all can do and that is listen to our old pal Smokey the Bear when he says, “only you can prevent wildfire.”
