The book I chose for my book review was Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen. The genre of this book is Realistic Fiction and is 195 pages. In Hatchet, Brian is on a bush plane visiting his father in Canada. The pilot suddenly had a severe heart attack, and unexpectedly died. Brian lands the plane in the deserted northern woods of Canada and has to learn how to survive in the wilderness. * Duncan, Vinny, and Wayne are all friends working - or wasting time - the summer before senior year in high school. Duncan is the soul, Vinny the brains, and Wayne the muscle. At the end of the previous summer, Duncan tried to save a drowning girl and failed. Not being a hero has really affected his life, particularly his relationship with his girlfriend Kim. Also, he is now terrified of swimming, especially when the nightmares come back. Duncan's summer job is with the public transit lost and found. While trying to make the hours go faster, Duncan looks through the items, especially the books and golf clubs. One day he discovers an unmarked journal with no name, which depicts sadistic animal torture experiments, boasts of arson fires, and the planning for the serial killings of three women. Duncan decides to make amends for his failure last summer by tracking down the owner of the journal by using clues left hidden in the diary. After talking with his friend Vinny, Duncan decides to turn the journal over to the police, but they do not take him seriously, so he decides to get help from Vinny, do some research at the local library, and find out where the killer works and lives so they can prove to the police the diary is for real. But in the process when Duncan finds the house of the serial killer, he decides to take a look in it but unfortunately at that very time the serial killer appears and chases Duncan to the subway station. They get into fight there and they both fell on the subway tracks in the station where they get hit by the train. Duncan luckily survives but the serial killer dies.

1. Characters- The main characters in this story are Fern, Charlie, and Ran. In the beginning of the story I had a feeling that Ran and Fern were going to start to like each other, and by the end of the book my hypothesis was correct.
The book is based on a dystopian future where something called unwinding exists. Unwinding is basically taking someone apart. The beginning is focused on some new characters like Starkey, who's parents signed him to be unwound. Starkey is very lucky and escapes the juvie cops and ends up in a safe house. From there he is then taken to the Graveyard, which is now ran by Connor. It also introduces another character a bit later in the story called Miracolina. While he is in jail he is writing a script for a movie about the trial. The script helps Steve stay calm and not go crazy while he is in jail. The book I chose for this project goes by the name “Way To Go” by Tom Ryan. The main character of this book is Darry from Deep Cove. Deep Cove is a small neighborhood in (Cape Breton) Nova Scotia, Canada where the entire story takes place. The abandoned tracks in the picture represent the Spot where Danny, Kierce, and Jay hang out. He lives with his sister Alma and his mother Mary. Danny’s father is always on business trips and is gone for a couple of weeks very often so he hardly spends time at home. When he was caught drinking by a cop, he was forced to get a summer job. I am stunned at how unequivocally impeccable this book was written. Unless the reader reads the book backwards there is no possible way to decipher what was going to happen next in the story. As a reader, this story had me so creeped out. Clusters is one of those types of books that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck and you will start to hear noises that might or might not be there. It will rattle your nerves yet you will be hooked from the beginning unable to put the book down. The book Clusters was influenced by real cases it might be a work of fiction but what parts? As the author states in the last century and a half thousands of people have just completely vanished with no trace of them to ever be found in national forests
“Ungifted” was a really good and enjoyable book. It was funny, exciting, and full of adventures. I learned a lot from the book. One thing I learned was how to be a good friend. In the book, when Donovan gets sent to the Academy, most people don’t like him and think he is weird. But, Donovan uses his gifts and his multi intelligence and people start to like him. Donovan was a good friend by helping his classmates find a new motor for Tin Man, supporting them in their robotics tournament, and helping them to not go to summer school. So, a good friend should support others and include one another even when they think they are weird.
The time is 1952; Clare Donnelly (played by Demi Moore) is a widow who is dealing with a pregnancy. The problem that exists is that the father of her child is her deceased husband’s brother. Markus Zusak's The Book Thief is a Fictional story of a young girl, Liesel, growing up in Nazi Germany. The book is geared towards Young-Adults with the goal of convincing the reader that not all Germans during World War II were bad. Using a unique narrative we are guided through the story line by Death, who will often tell us his opinion of the going-ons of the story as well as giving us further context so as to allow a better understanding of the situations we are presented with. From a young age I was taught that the Germans were bad people, much like Muslims today we generalize an entire population based off of the actions of a relatively small group of the whole. This is a movie about a professional killer, or "Cleaner", named Léon played by Jean Reno, and his unlikely interaction with a 12-year old girl, Mathilda played by Natalie Portman.
