Success can be defined in several ways but personally, I consider being successful as working hard in a field that creates passion, fulfils your desires, and ultimate becoming a better version of yourself through achieving personally goals. Often people deem success from your net worth, such as how much money you have in the bank, the quality of material items possessed, and your overall richness. My idea of success is being rich in knowledge, passion, love, having complex connection and fulling your ultimate desires while also helping those less fortunate than you. Success can be an extremely broad subject. There is an abounding amount of different views on what the “true” definition of success is. Personally, I believe that success is finding happiness. Success is waking up in the morning and not having to worry about whether or not the bills are going to be paid this month. Success is having a job that you enjoy going to every day. Success is having friends and family who love and support you. Success does not mean that one has to be exceedingly rich or have a lakeside mansion. As long as they are happy, they have succeeded in life.
My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’
Success is not earning a fat juicy check at the end of each month, or being a part of a large social group filled with fraudulent people that appear as familiar faces. But it is a person discovering him or herself after they had been lost and establishing a sense of purpose that makes them fills them with a warm glowing sense of accomplishment. Success does not have one transparent definition, it has various meanings depending on what success means to the individual trying to achieve it. Success is surviving.
When someone asks me how I define success I think of people. Enjoying what they do, not afraid of failing , and accomplishing their goals are qualities I look for in people. Not just making money defines someone as successful, but if someone can make good money and accomplish their goals then that would be perfect. Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, and Jimmy Butler are people I think of when someone mentions success because they make good money and love what they do.
As I continue to grow and mature into a young adult, I have begun to realize that the word “Success” can have many different meanings. Depending on the person you’re discussing it with, they may see it differently than you do. The media and society have convinced us into accepting a misleading meaning of how success should be defined. Many people who are rich and seen as successful are often very stressed out and struggling with everyday life. Although, this is something that society often decides to look past because the rich are perceived to be very content and joyful with the way they are living their lives, almost as if they have nothing to worry about because of their success. When talking about success, people need to take into the account that the definition can have a variety of meanings, not only is success displayed from finances, but somebody could be considered successful for other things they do as well.
Success is hard to pin down. It may be getting an A on a test or finding a high paying job or creating your most influential piece of writing or even just being able to be yourself. Success is different to everyone. Success follows no arbitrary rules of definition or singularity, success is just what is important to you and what what makes you happy. Success controls people’s lives. It is the single most driving force in all of history, the will to be successful. Without our preconceived notions of success and what it means to be successful, no one would follow rules, everyone would follow their own.
Successful is a simple word, however, the meaning of this word changes quite often. Each person has a different definition of success and that definition can change depending on the situation. Bob Dylan once wrote, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” This a very broad definition of success and should not be used. The definition of success should be “the pursued goals have been adequately accomplished.”
Success is a term used by almost every individual person on this green and blue planet that we call Earth. Whether it is parents, college professors, teachers, bosses, co-workers, and inspirational speakers, they all apply this word to everyday life, however what does it truly mean? Success is a noun that, by definition, stands for “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” Although this is the official definition, society has a different definition for the phrase success. Society has defined the phrase success as being wealthy, having quite a few material items, having a stable well-paying job, and a healthy family as a side bonus. There are members of society
“How will I be successful?” I think to myself, wondering where my life will take me. The dictionary has many definitions for this term, such as the accomplishment of one’s goals and the attainment of wealth, position, honors or the like. A variety of people have a plethora of definitions for the word “success.” Some define it has having limitless amount of wealth, with an enormous mansion and an array of extravagant cars. Others define success by the relationships they have and waking up in the morning content with the life they have created for themselves. To some it is a mixture of both of these things, and to some it is neither. Success a subjective term that does not have one definitive meaning, which is what
Success is something that can be measured from big to large. A victory in a game, the type of life that someone sets out to be, finding something like a bottle cap if you collect them. All these little that make someone happy in life can be considered success. They found or did something that improved their attitude and them. That is what true success is and that’s what everyone tries to truly succeed In order to succeed they should pursue
In addition, my definition of success is someone who overcame or is still overcoming a hardship of their own. Either when they are going through a hard time or is just working hard to get where they want, they are a success in my book, either way. For example, Tyler Joseph, a front man for my favorite band, went through some tough, hard times, and got huge success from it. Last but not least, Alexander Hamilton, a treasury secretary for the United Sates government, fought through poverty and his own battles and got huge success as well. Moreover, success only happens if one works hard and stays on
The true definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Although, many people have different perceptions of success. Success is judged by the individuals themselves. Success can be defined in many ways including: wealth, happiness, fame, etc. Success can be anything from material goods to concepts. It all depends on your concept and how you achieve your goals. You have to have persistence within yourself. Varying on your profession, you will need a certain skill level. Your definition of success can be suitable best for you, but not for others. Everyone dreams of a successful career and life. The definition of success is very personal. For me, the term “Successful career” revolves around happiness.
Success may be defined in many ways by many people. According to Oxford English Dictionary, it is, “the prosperous achievement of something attempted.”(“Success”). That is, if one achieve his/her desire or goals, it would be considered as his/her success. But it is true that the definition and explanation varies according to the eye of beholder. Generally, Success means fulfilling the goals that you set for your life. For some, success may be money, big house and a luxury car. However, for others, success may be the happiness they feel after achieving their goal. I personally feel, success is not what is accomplished, but what is felt from
Success is something we all wish to achieve and even though we have different definitions of success, we all want to success in different aspects of our lives. For some success, success is attaining an education, others it's getting a good job, for others it's being wealthy, and others to start and own a business while for others it's having a family of our own and seeing our children prosper. We all have different metrics of measuring success and we all have different goals, but it is part of human instinct to want success, to want to succeed in everything we do no matter how small or big. Success gives us a feeling of development and growth, a sense of gratification that we are no longer where we used to be, but rather
