Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, on February 24, 1955. His parents were Abdulfattah John Jandali and Joanne Simpson. As a young boy, Jobs was a rebellious prankster who didn’t like school. He was very smart for his age, and his teachers didn’t like him at all. It wasn’t until he was in fourth grade until he started to enjoy school. His teacher, Imogene Hill is the teacher that helped him the most. Steve Jobs praised her by saying, “She was one of the saints of my life. She taught an advanced fourth grade class, and it took her about a month to get hip to my situation. She bribed me into learning.” (“Steve Jobs Long Bio”).
Steve Jobs went to Homestead High School. During that time, he met Steve Wozniak. They were the best of friends. When someone asked Wozniak about why they were friends, he said, “We both loved electronics and the way we used to hook up digital chips…” (“Steve Jobs biography”). Jobs went to Reed College, but he dropped out in the first semester. Since he had a love for electronics, he took up a job for designing video games at Atari.

He thought they wouldn’t be able to sell anything. It was Jobs who was able to advertise and sell their computers successfully. When he was ousted from Apple, he tried to make a company just as good as Apple. He even started Pixar, which became very successful in every movie they made.
“In 2003, Jobs discovered he had a neuroendocrine tumor, a rare but curable form of pancreatic cancer.” (“Steve Jobs biography”). He had a successful surgery the next year. He was getting worse though. Apple announced Steve Jobs had passed away on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56. The man who had started the most successful computer company was now dead.
