Should Kids Have Too Much Homework

Have you ever complained about having too much homework? Teens all around the world are constantly piled up with homework to do overnight, that teachers expect to be done the next day. I believe that this generation receives too much homework for three main reasons. Those being that too much homework causes illness, and each grade should have ten minutes per grade level a night, but others say it might test our knowledge.

This means that when kids are stuck inside all day doing homework, they should definitely be able to have free time. Average kids in highschool or middle school should only have between an hour or two hours of homework, leaving them plenty of time to do their own thing.

Many others might say that homework helps exercise your brain and makes you smarter, and that’s only partly true. Homework can be a good thing, but teachers need to decrease the amount they are giving their students. If teens are stuck in their rooms doing homework all day, they can lose the ability to socialize or fall into a pit of depression. Doing homework all day might also lead to an attention span problem and can distract them from the outside world.
