Salva taught me that even though there are many nasty people in this world, I don't have to do what they do. I can do my own thing and be who I am and not worry about what people think of me. He has taught me that even if the world is against me. I can all ways find ways to stay safe and happy. I have been camping one time, and when we all went to go to sleep, we heard gunshots near the tent, My dad stepped out of the tent to see what was going on. I didn't know what was going to happen to my dad. I could see his shadow casting on the tent wall near me as he walked away from it. It wasn’t long before I heard footsteps walking towards the tent, my heart started pounding even faster and faster as the flap to the tent door lifted. My heart stopped beating fast with a hard punch to the inside of my chest. As I saw my dad, step into the tent. He told us that the people who shot the gun were gone and we could go to bed, That was the first night I have ever heard a gunshot so close it rang in my ears for the rest of the night. …show more content…

Thats why I understand how he felt when he was running from the people holding and shooting guns and thinking how he wanted to run to his family, And his heart was pounding so hard he could feel it in his throat. My family means the world to me, I would do anything to save them if I ever got separated from the like Salva did. My dad is a hard worker my mother is also. My brother and sisters are very caring, but don't show it, All my brother does is pick on me ( he works as a blacksmith and is 6.1 in height, which makes it hard to fight back) but I know he only does it is because he loves me (and is always bored) and wants to make sure that when it's time I can take care of myself instead of having to have other people worry about
