Romeo and Juliet, a play written by William Shakespeare, has a tragic ending for the two star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. There are many characters you could blame for the death of the two main characters such as Mercutio, The Nurse, or the feuding families, but the ending of this story ultimately comes down to three important characters. In the tragic play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet were not the only characters to blame for their own deaths. Friar Laurence and Tybalt were major reasons for the deaths of these two star-crossed lovers. The main character to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet is Romeo himself. If Romeo would have never have gone to the ball (1, 2, 103-104), he would have never met Juliet …show more content…
Friar Laurence was the one that married Romeo and Juliet to try to solve the families’ feuding. However the marriage of these two characters did nothing but cause more problems in their lives. Being a man of God Friar Laurence should have given the two better advice on their marriage, but instead he was married them to try to solve the families feuding. Laurence should have thought about his decision to marry them more in depth, so he could prevent future problems. The Friar was also the person that came up with the “death” plan for Juliet, so she and Romeo could live happily ever after (4, 1, 92-113). This was another unwise action he did. He should have thought about all the problems that could have come about due to his plan. That’s one reason why is partially to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. Friar Laurence also put too much trust in Friar John to send Romeo the letter about the “death”plan (5, 2, 5-12). Since the letters were so important, Friar Laurence should have personally delivered the letters so they got to Romeo, but instead he told Friar John to deliver them. Friar Laurence’s careless actions caused Romeo and Juliet their lives, so he deserves a large amount of blame for the events that took …show more content…
Tybalt's anger and short temper caused him to act unjustly and make poor choices without thinking properly. Tybalt says “I will withdraw, but this intrusion shall now seeming sweet, convert to bitterest gall.”(1,5,90-91) This quote means that Romeo might have been having fun crashing their party, but Tybalt will get revenge on him in the future. Tybalt’s short temper causes him to make awful choices without thinking about the consequences. When Tybalt went to fight Romeo his short temper cause him to kill Mercutio instead. Tybalt should have know that killing Mercutio was going to lead to great danger and ultimately leading to his death(3, 1, 92). Romeo killed Tybalt in a fight that Tybalt started. Tybalt got Romeo banished, that caused Juliet to become sad and follow through with Friar’s plan. That is why Tybalt is partially to blame for Romeo and Juliet's Deaths. There were many characters that could take some blame for the death of the two star-crossed lovers, but the main characters to blame are Romeo, Friar Laurence, and Tybalt. These three characters played a vital role in the tragic ending of the play. Friar Laurence gave Juliet the potion, Romeo went to the ball uninvited, and Tybalt killed Mercutio. These three key events from those characters are mainly why Romeo and Juliet both died in the end. They are the people who are primarily at fault to the ending of the
Every action we take, decision we make, and person we fall in love with always leads us to our inevitable destiny. Some people are meant to live happily ever after while others may not be so lucky. Romeo and Juliet ended up being one of those not so lucky couples. Born as enemies, their love ended up pulling them closer to their destiny which was proven to be death. The main people that can be blamed for the death of Romeo and Juliet are Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Romeo.
While reading Shakespeare's play “Romeo and Juliet” it is easy to see that everybody in the story is at fault for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Personally however, I believe that three of the main characters are more at fault then the other characters. First is Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend. Next is Benvolio, nephew of Lord Montague and Romeo’s other friend. Last is Friar Lawrence, Romeo and Juliet Franciscan Priest. In a story of unorthodox love, family feuding, and violence, many are at blame for the deaths.
Romeo and Juliet is a play that is a very well known love story of two star-crossed lovers that come from feuding families. The play Romeo and Juliet takes place in Verona, Italy and is a story of two desperate lovers that come together and fall in love with each other despite their feuding families. Throughout the story there are many events that lead to the tragedy that is Romeo and Juliet killing themselves. The true question is not how they died but rather who is to blame for their death. There are three things at fault for their death which are fate, the Capulet family, and Friar Lawrence who is most responsible for this tragedy.
It is often believed that fate plays a role in the end result of peoples’ lives, however, in this tale of star-crossed lovers, fate is not the case. Three characters are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet in William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. They are Friar Lawrence, Lord Capulet and Romeo. Friar Lawrence is the first character responsible for the deaths of the two young lovers because of his immoral actions. Romeo Montague constantly acts too hastily which never works in his favour or any of the other characters.
Romeo and Juliet was a couple that was doomed from the start. They were two kids who had no idea what they could possibly be doing. Had they had true guidance, maybe they wouldn’t have died. Friar Laurence and Tybalt are to blame for the deaths of Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet.
In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, many people lead to the outcome of Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. The play is about a boy, Romeo, and a girl, Juliet, from two rival families that fall in love. The two families, the Montagues and Capulets, have been fighting for a long time and it affects the entire city of Verona, where they live. It is debated whether or not the deaths of the star-crossed lovers could be blamed on numerous people. The tragedy of their deaths was the faults of multiple characters and could have been prevented.
There have been lots of tragic deaths throughout this play, I have many characters in mind to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s tragic demise. Some are responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death, some are responsible for Mercutio and Tybalt’s death, or even Lady Montague’s death. But all of the characters that I have in mind are in some way responsible for both Romeo and Juliet’s death.
In William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers lost their lives when hate and love collided. From the Montagues came Romeo and from the Capulets came Juliet. The two families were feuding and Romeo and Juliet could not stand being without each other. They both killed themselves because they thought life was not worth living without the other. Though there are many who can be blamed for this tragic ending, there are three that are the most responsible.
In Williams Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, he depicts the story of star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. In the tragic ending of the play, both Juliet and Romeo take their lives. Romeo and Juliet are not the only ones responsible for their own death. There are many characters that contribute to the situation. Of these characters, the person who bears the most responsible is Lady Capulet because of her opinion on when and who Juliet should marry. She also helped the feud between the capulets and montagues, therefore causing romeo and juliet's love to be forbidden. For these reasons lady capulet is to blame for Romeo and juliet's death.
There was so much tragedy in Romeo and Juliet but who was truly to blame for the six deaths? The majority of blame for the six deaths in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare rests on Romeo. Romeo is responsible because he was so desperate for love and he couldn’t control his anger on multiple occasions. One example of Romeo being desperate for love is him killing himself for Juliet And a reason for Romeo not being able for him to control his temper was when he killed Tybalt and Paris out of revenge.
Who is Most Responsible for the Deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Romantic love stories often end with a tragedy, because of the loss of passion or a loved one. These tragedies are often the result of one person’s actions that ended someone’s life or love. In the Romeo and Juliet play written by William Shakespeare, two citizens of Verona come together and fall deeply in love.
Romeo’s decision to kill Tybalt is an example of Romeo’s irrationalism because the fight could have been avoided. Furthermore, this fight banished Romeo from Verona which resulted in many more situations which all led to the death of Romeo and Juliet. Next, when Romeo drank the poison next to Juliet, he was very quick to act. This terrible decision killed Romeo himself, and once Juliet woke up, she was also quick to stab herself, causing her to quickly die. Lastly, Friar Lawrence did not properly think through his plan to give Juliet the potion which would mimic her death because the message to Romeo did not arrive, causing Romeo to kill himself. In conclusion, these characters are held responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet instead of
WHO IS THE BLAME? Good afternoon, my fellow audience. I am here today to persuade you on who I believe to be the character most responsible for the death of the two main characters in the play, Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. It is almost an ironic play because of its open and easily known ending, but yet its ending raises the controversial question, WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THE DEATH OF ROMEO AND JULIET? I believe every character in the book contributed to their deaths, even Romeo and Juliet themselves, but Friar Lawrence bears a monumental deal of the blame because he was the principle and most reliable adult that could have steered the ‘inexperienced’ couple, but his incompetency led Romeo and Juliet to a violent death.
Tybalt was a adversary of Romeo and had the drift to kill him. His spleen of the situation is Romeo trying to love his coz Juliet. He approached Romeo and Mercutio looking for a fight. Tybalt and Mercutio ended up fighting and Tybalt killed Mercutio, because Tybalt did this, he deserved the death penalty for his transgression. Romeo then took revenge and killed him (3.1.70). This is a legal issue because Tybalt was going to be treated to the death penalty anyway so Romeo killing him was just like giving him the death penalty. This death is a lot different than the others because his was a legal issue and he deserved to die, the other deaths in the play like Romeo, Juliet and Mercutio decided to die for a family member that they love.
In Romeo and Juliet, one character who is partly responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is Tybalt. Tybalt enrages Remeo and causes him to kill Tybalt. In Romeo and Juliet, this brings about Romeos exile from Verona. If Romeo had not been exiled from Verona, he would have heard of Friar Lawrences plan to keep Juliet from getting married. If he had known of the plan, he would not have gone to the vault and killed himself over what he thought was Juliets dead body.
