River valley civilizations have inspired modern society even though they existed during ancient times. China, India, Mesopotamia, and Egypt have all created many inventions and new ideas that have sparked evolution through modern technology. Gunpowder is a great example of something that was widely popular and valued in ancient times and is something that we still use today. These civilizations have their similarities and differences but also have their own innovations that have shaped the entire human history and will continue to do so for years to come..
The ancient Mesopotamian world triggered many future technological advances that have allowed our society to be as sophisticated as it is today. Some of the main impacts that Mesopotamia had on the modern world was the first writing system of its kind, along with the most complete set of laws created as a governing system. Everything from writing systems to medical vaccinations have evolved over time. Even philosophies that still affect people today were just a glimpse of the ancient world and the ingenuity that went into these developments. Not only have these civilizations shaped modern culture through the use of new and improving ideas such as the number and decimal systems that we still use today. Another example would be the use of medicinal drugs that were not only developed but used widely during then the ancient times. These ancient times were full of new developmental and new inventions that still influence modern society and culture in countless ways.
