3- Personal development. Working on thesis was similar to managing a project in real life when it comes to strict deadlines, organizing, planning and scarcity of resources, scheduled meetings and so on. Thus the skills I developed within the process of completing my research are add-ons’ and can be used to successfully manage business projects within my career when I’m back to office. In addition to that, my writing skills also been improved due to engaging in writing this thesis. Regardless the general opinion that with increasing importance of information technology, the process of writing letters and reports are being replaced by alternative means of business communications, the writing will always be an important and significant for business …show more content…
As an outcome of the thesis, my professional interest on the issue associated with the development of logistics sector has been enhanced. Furthermore, I am planning to keep an eye on the sector to enhance my knowledge which will benefit me and the organization I work for. On a personal level, I benefited from conducting the Thesis in a number of ways. The research experience with different sources has increased the level of my motivation for studying, making bold plans for my future career and implements necessary measures and initiatives in order to accomplish these plans. It is important to mention my supervisor here particularly for all practical tips and encouragements that can be applied in various substitutional settings apart from academic life. Because I completed the thesis, the level of my self-confidence has also been increased. Furthermore, having the opportunity to communicate with the managers of the newly established organization ASYAD increased the level of self-confidence dramatically, because I understood that if I could communicate the needs of my organization successfully, they will take it in consideration, and they will know that there was a person who called trying to engage both …show more content…
This fact can be highlighted as one of the essential gains on a personal level. And the reason for that is browsing related websites with no real benefit whatsoever prior to starting with my thesis. However, as soon as the priority was given to thesis, the bad habit of browsing with no sense was dealt with irreversibly and effectively. 3.3- Challenges to complete my research. To recap, finalizing the thesis with Hanze University for applied science following my MIBM course has increased the level of my preparedness to go back to my office and successfully utilize my energy and knowledge. In my opinion, the biggest benefit I received from enrolling to this course of study is that the course of study, the thesis and doing the presentations in different classes have made me believe in my skills and capabilities and they have also awoken my desire to approach studying as a lifelong process. Furthermore, I have acquired a set of personal and professional gains as a result of completing the thesis that includes the development of a critical mindset, improvement of my writing and time management skills and enhancement of the level of my
a doctoral journey can be a long process, with many benchmarks for the students' dissertation to satisfy. Many students have left dissertations in progress and unfinished, because job and familiy committments have been a higher priority.
In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Huck experiences many situations which require him to use his moral judgment. During the entire adventure, Huck is essentially in charge of the fate of Jim. Huck’s taught beliefs lead him down the wrong path in the beginning, but eventually –until Tom arrives- his newly developed morals guide him. Society believes that slaves should be treated as property, but Huck’s new beliefs tell him that Jim is a person; not property. Though Huck does not realize that his actions are more moral than those of his environment, he chooses to follow his instincts rather than to follow the rules. As shown in The Adventures of Huck Finn, as well as events of my own daily life, I believe that while external environment has a small impact on our beliefs and identities, every individual fully develops their own morals without regard to what their environment taught them.
Reflecting on your delivery and relating to further reading and research, write a personal analysis which considers the following:
The aim of this assignment is to provide a critical analysis of theory in relation to psychological and emotional impact and its application to social work. I will look at the psychological and emotional impacts in relation to discriminatory and oppressive constructions in order to develop and demonstrate my understanding of social work within a multicultural diverse society.
I have increased my scope of knowledge and achieved the goals of increased self-confidence and improved study skills set out in my answer to question four. I will stay focused on those goals and work towards my longer-term goal set out in my answer to question five, which is to attain the BA (Honours) Philosophy and Psychological Studies degree from the Open University.
I discovered new areas and specialties that I didn’t know I could enjoy and possibly make an important contribution like the legislative and research fields.
In turn, I benefited from further improving my ability to work as part of a team of professionals and I gained immense confidence practicing medicine in an evidence-based environment.
While the semester is over and the deadline has expired, I thought I would write this to express my true intended thoughts.
Although it is obvious that my ability to form and maintain attachments was affected, it is not so obvious to determine the long-term effects. Because early experience does not impact development in a linear way (Sroufe et al., 1999) both history and present circumstances are important (Sroufe, 2005). In fact, Bowlby’s model emphasises that behaviour is a function of an individual’s entire history; therefore change does not erase early experience (Bowlby, 1973). This means that even after significant change, there is a tendency for individuals to return to previous developmental trajectories (Bowlby, 1973). As such, the disruption to my development was merely that, a disruption, and through experience, I have learnt to form attachments again, therefore my development has returned to an adequate stage.
As the discussion of good writing evolved in class, I began to wonder what made good business writing. I thought about the purpose in writing both within a particular company and between different companies and organizations. I decided that most writing in business is meant to be either informative, persuasive, or a combination of both. Whether informative or persuasive in nature, I have decided that most good business writing is very similar to other good writing. I have chosen to focus on three elements that contribute to good usage in business. They are:
Throughout my years of education at the American University of Beirut, I have participated in several projects (mainly Strategic Management and Marketing) and I went through the condensed educational environment of AUB which pushed me to work through several teams, moreover, to experience their value and to become an active team player. In addition to that, I learned to apply my theoretical skills into practical functional ideas which contributed in broadening my creativity and developing my analytical, conceptual and organizational skills. I also learned how to manage my time and finish on due dates which enabled me to deal with stressful situations and develop my sense of responsibility.
In order to successfully reflect upon a development of a person, the background history is crucial. As once mentioned by actor William Smith, it’s impossible to fully understand a person until his story is known.
Relentless betterment has always been the motive of my life. The foremost requirement to attain this is knowledge and profound guidance. After the completion of my course under the guidance of your privileged university I am confident enough that I will take the path of constant growth.
