My reaction to the Holocaust was devastating. It is one example of bad
things happening to good people. The mass murdering of so many Jews is
just disgusting and also because it was done for basically no reason.
As this was a true event many sources or witnesses are available to
express their views, feelings and emotions of themselves and those who
survived this terrible tragedy.
I will demonstrate examples of Jews who have survived what they have
been through and what they think about God. It is really hard to go
through all of this and still believe that God exists. The holocaust
should not change our theology on God. It is said to be that the
Holocaust was a temporary "Eclipse of God".[1] This is supposed to be
when God is away from earth beyond any reason or explanation. People
trying to respond to this problem of believing that there is a God
after witnessing the terrible event have either succeeded or failed. I
will introduce three people who have survived the Holocaust and have
tried responding to this problem. The three people included are Primo
Levi, Richard Rubenstein and Emil Fackenheim.
I think a big impact on the life of Jews would be their belief in God
because many of them have tried responding to this problem and have
changed the ways in which they think about him, their views on how
good or powerful he is, how they express him and why they still
believe in him. I will introduce the problem of evil to the Jews that
have survived the Holocaust and their problems of belief. I will also
say which of the three Jews the most are convincing to me. The

God because now some Jews think "God is Dead" [2] Their reason to
thinking this is because God is supposed to be omnipotent and almighty
he could not have let something like this to happen. If there was a
God, surely this event would not have taken place.

To begin with the holocaust had a great impact in history even though it was a time of disaster, murder, and discrimination. It was a time in which Adolf Hitler,German politician and Nazi party leader, wanted all Jews suffering or dead. Adolf Hitler turned everyone against the Jews because he believed that they were to wealthy and too powerful so he wanted to eliminate all of them. The Jews went through a lot of suffering and pain. The German soldiers which took commands from their leader, Adolf Hitler, put some Jews to work and killed others. Many Jews didn't get to work they were killed instantly. All women were separated from the man and woman were mostly killed instantly only some got the opportunity to work. The some ways that the jews were killed is that they were put into gas chambers by tons or shot by soldiers. Jews were also dying by starvation dehydration soldiers would not give them enough food or water. They would only want those with blue eyes and blonde hair they discriminated all the others. Soldiers would not only kill the Jews but torture them for anything they did. The Jews would be transported from camp to camp walking even in the worst weather conditions which also many died from it.

In the 1945, President Truman was faced with an atomic dilemma in the most destructive war that mankind has seen so far. His choices were to either bomb Japan or let more American soldiers die. He chose to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He chose the most likeable choice in America at the time. If I was able to tell President Truman one thing, it would be, drop the atomic bombs on Japan and end the four year war for America. Japan started the war on America with the bombing of Pearl Harbor, America repaid the debt back to Japan many fold(top secret).
When World War 2 broke out in 1939, the United States of America was facing the dilemma of whether or not to intervene in the massacre known as the Holocaust. Some people believe that the United States did all they could to help the victims of the war. Some believe that America did hardly anything. But, there is stronger evidence pointing towards the fact that the United States did not do enough to stop the killing initiated by Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi army.
On August 6, 1945, the first bomb was dropped on the city of Hiroshima. Three days later on August 9, the second bomb hit Nagasaki. Whether the United States made a moral and ethical decision is still an ongoing debate. President Truman was faced with a difficult choice. The U.S. chose to adopt a stance that seemed to limit the amount of casualties in the war, by significantly shortening it with the use of atomic weapons. It was certainly a reasonable view for the USA to take, since they had suffered the loss of more than thousands of lives, both military and civilian. The Holocaust was one of the most tragic and trying times for the Jewish people. Hundreds of thousands of Jews and other minorities that the Nazis considered undesirable were detained in concentration camps, death camps, or labor camps. There, they were forced to work and live in the harshest of conditions, starved, and brutally murdered. Overall, the significance of the Exile left upon the Jews were astounding with the changes through their identity, life and religion. The experiences made from the Babylonian invasion to the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem taught the Jews the importance of the covenant made with God. During the exile, the Jews never lost hope in YHWH with the continuous faith and practices through their everyday life. The reestablishment of the Temple and Jerusalem were steps that were taken to renew the commitment of the covenant made with YHWH. The experience of the exile has transformed the laws, practices and faith in which remains and influences the religion from that point on.
