Have you ever has a time that you has to cover your mouth and nose when you are in public because fearing that you might can get cancer from inhale toxic smoke by smoker ? Smoking is one major health problems in the world. This issue is getting more and more serious as we can see in public places where people are start smoking. Some people are not smoke because they want to live longer with healthier live. Some public smoker may think, all mankind are free to do everything they want, but they have to respect others’ life. Some people want in inhales fresh air, and clean air while they are in public places. Smoking should be banned in public places because smoking affect a healthy environment for nonsmokers, affect society for young people, and affect people’s health.
Smoking is not only affect for the smoker’s health, but also others around the smoker. People who do not smoke are affect just as much as those who are smoking. Which is due to second hand smoke, as the toxin smoke release in the air. Second hand smoke is harmful to non- smoker and causes more damage to their lung from breathing it. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “When a nonsmoker breathes in secondhand smoke, the body begins to metabolize or break down the nicotine that was in the smoke. During this process, a nicotine byproduct called cotinine is created. Exposure to nicotine and secondhand smoke can be measured by testing saliva, urine, or blood for the presence of cotinine.” According to "Surgeon General Adds To List of Smoking's Harms." “About 20.8 million people in the U.S. have died from smoking-related diseases since then, a toll the report puts at 10 times the number of Americans who have died in all of the nation's wars combined. Therefore, banning smoking in public places can reduce at least some of these problems and would enable people to live in a healthier way.
It is clear that smoking hurts people’s health and poisons the people around them. A ban on smoking in public would provide the environment nonsmoker, decrease cancer or others health problem, and it also will reduce a number of young people influence in society.
