Throughout my childhood, I was raised in a Spanish household, which ultimately led to Spanish being my primary language. However, learning the language was not an easy task, rather it was a matter of trial and error. Being frequently exposed to the language, in both the colloquial and formal manner, assisted me in understanding how to communicate with my relatives. On top of that, I was frequently taught how to read and spell in Spanish in order to deliver mail to my grandparents. Essentially, this frequent practice of the language ultimately led to a better understanding and fluency of the language. In a similar manner, I learned English through trial and error. Essentially, people believe that citizens should not be able to practice hate speech because it can be demeaning and degrading to an individual. To start off, to argue on the basis of subjectivity is quite irrational. To say that speech is demeaning and degrading is completely dependent on the individual. For example, I would react differently if an individual called me overweight, compared to an individual that is legitimately self-conscious about their own weight. However, I would assert that traditional pornography, although controversial, is protected by the first amendment because it is merely a form of entertainment that is utilized for sexual alleviation. In terms of controversial categories, such as gang rape and beastiality, I would argue that it should not be protected under the first amendment because it is repulsive. Indeed, my argument is subjective since these categories are completely out of the ordinary. I would argue on the basis of societal norms; however, in terms of a moral standpoint, I would argue that it is not immoral since the act is consensual. Fortunately, women, along with men, can independently choose a job of their likings. Aside from this, individuals may argue that porn causes people to commit sexual violence; however, this would fall under common practice of misinterpreting data. Essentially, here is insufficient evidence to showcase that erotic pornography causes sexual violence; however, it does show a positive correlation, similar to how being malnurtured can enhance the chances of committing an act of sexual violence.
