Everyone try their best and work hard to reach their goal but if the goal is not effective it will be useless. I also have goals that I want to achieve it but now as being a student, I have grade goals. I want to get good scores and graduate with flying colors to make my parents proud. It makes me focus and concentrate on things that are important to improve my studies. I have been using this goal-setting process so that I can easily reach my goals. Writing down my goals and the things that are important to me has really helped to know what I need to do to reach my goals. Making schedules for assignments and learning has made me planned to work for my goals. It has shown me the direction that I need to walk on and focus
Therefore, creating goals helps establish what direction I am trying to go in, and also allows me to figure out how to solve a problem. Another example is if I fail a test, I will try to examine the errors within my work; however, I will then create a goal for myself to make sure I do better on the test the next time. Finding the errors and creating goals to fix the errors makes me an independent learner. I am taking the charge that I want to do better; therefore, I am going to create a goal that helps me succeed. By fixing the errors, I then challenge myself, inside and outside the classroom.
Throughout history, motivation has been one of the components to survival. Motivation is needed to get up in the morning and go on about the day in order to survive. As humans began to evolve, so did society, which meant our drive and motivation were derived from different goals rather than one common one. Rather than depending on biological drive, humans started to depend on the system of rewarding the good behavior and punishing the bad. This operating is known as Motivation 2.0 (Pink, 2009). However, this method is flawed due to the fact that this implies that humans are no different from a herd of livestock.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...

Motivation is defined as the process that guides, initiates, and maintains goal orientated behavior and thought (Cherry, 2013). Motivation is what drives individuals to do what they do, whether it is something as simple as getting a drink because he or she are thirsty or something as big as getting up every day and gong to work for a paycheck.
I have come to an understanding that not all goals have to be academicals goals. Some individual can create action plans for fun and relaxation which will help to relax the mind. “Aiming for progress rather than perfection will allow students to maintain perspective, celebrate achievements, and continue persevering towards their goals” (edweek.org) sometimes improvement may take a longer time to accomplish and sometimes all action plan may not be able to accomplish. However, for this week I put all my best to accomplish my requirement, If I have to learn to moonwalk just to chive goal the moonwalking will be part of my achievement.
Goal setting is key in motivation; goals need to be clear, sharp, and realistic. To make these feel more achievable it is better to break these down into smaller medium-term goals and medium-term goals into short-term goals so that you have a clear connection between what one does every day and their long-term goals.
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined

My goals in life are ultimately to achieve success in life. My goals are to also have happiness, prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able to carry out my goals. My goals are also heavily influenced on the hardships my parents have had to endure such as facing ridicule for the simple fact of being immigrants, the extremely difficult time they endured due to unemployment and living in poverty, and the low degree of education they received from their countries. My goals are so important to me because I view it as way out of barely getting by, out of a harder life. My goals consist of me being the first person on my mother 's side to ever graduate from middle and high school. My goals also consist of making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter that will give them a more comfortable life, one that is not filled with such pain. After seeing my mother suffer from a liver infection which caused her to become sick to the point of hospitalization, I promised myself that day I never wanted anyone to feel as sick as my mother did. No one deserves to go through that much suffering. My dream and passion is to study Biology at the GREAT Bethune- Cookman University and to be a doctor who will not only help my community here in America but also for my families in
