The climate change issue until a few years ago for me was simply a buzzword and was no more than that. I could hear, read, see, much information about climate change, but I never was caring about it. I remember clearly I had no interest in this kind of topics, in some way I thought global warming was just an excuse for people to keep the mind busy. Exactly two years ago I met a young woman named Andrea, which by then was new in my work. I was fortunate enough to coach Andrea and develop a beautiful friendship and she always used to talk about the conservation of animal species and climate change. Global warming has many results and effects in our planet all with serious social implications impacts on agriculture, forests, water reserves and ultimately to human health: increased mortality associated with heat waves, and other extreme events, increase allergies, respiratory diseases, various cancers, etc. It is regrettable many communities and indigenous people, possessing a deeply rooted culture in their environment, are dying out, forced off their land to big cities, often because of environmental degradation, makes them climate or environmental refugees and condemns them to accelerated the loss of identity. This situation has necessitated the demand for climate justice which seeks to prevent the most affected by climate change are those who are least responsible for same.
