Many people have learned a lesson from something that happened to them, this is my story. I woke up that day at 10:23AM during a Saturday. I had no plans for today, so I did what I regularly do, eat breakfast while watching TV. I was drinking some type of natural drink. It was squeezed orange with some pomegranate. It tasted sort of sour, but I liked it. While I was watching the 2nd episode, my iPad alerted me that someone texted me, it was my friend Hugo, he wanted me to go to his house to play some videogames. I asked my mom and she said until 12 I can go. I left right when the clock hit 12. While I was on my way, two dogs followed me and sniffed all the way to his house. When I entered his house, I smelled a whiff of fresh cookies in the
On top of that, I learned a valuable lesson from the failure and the loss as well. From that day forth, the past experiences transformed me to be a hard-working and responsible person. Furthermore, I acknowledged that when something bad happens, it can prepare us for the future obstacles, so let always be optimistic and never give up on trying.
And if it is true that the lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success then I am right. This is where my path to success really begins. It is never late to start again. Small things that aren’t so small can have a big repercussion in someone's life. We as human beings need to learn how to be more loving, respectful and compassionate. I am so proud to be who I am today because of this past experiences. I believe almost everybody has had a time in their lives in which they failed, nobody is perfect. Failure indeed can be fundamental to later success, but the expectations of success are not what people think, at least for me, but I certainly know I'm not
In the past, I’ve made numerous mistakes. They all were very similar, most of them being related to school, sports, friendships, or even as simple as arguing with a parent. Although I had many, and learned quite a few lessons from them, most of these mistakes were not life changing. I would usually just be grounded by a parent, or get half credit on the homework because I didn’t do it correctly. Those mistakes were not as grand, or complex, or painful as my favorite mistake. I hadn’t realized until I reflected on the event, but my favorite mistake was when I broke my collarbone playing flag football in sixth grade.
I learned that making mistakes is part of life, and it won't make me less of a
My dog Abby was jittering with excitement, her leash draggy under her. Securing my bag of chicken I then carefully picked up her leash. When I pulled open my front door, I noticed how dark it had already gotten. The sky was a shade of blush. One of the better shades of pink considering I don’t really care for pink. Before I could get another thought out my dog jerked me to the sidewalk. Washington Park wasn’t far from my house which made it a
Learning from a mistake is exactly what I did that very Sunday when I stole the golf cart. It was a lazy Sunday, and everybody was just laying around with nothing to do. It was the middle of the basketball season, and all I wanted to do was shoot some hoops. The neighborhood I lived in had an indoor basketball gym which I loved to play in, and I wanted to go there to play around. I didn’t feel like walking, so my only other option was the golf cart in the garage.
Summer vacation, and school ends for about three months, and then you have as much fun as you can, then back to school… right? Well I had to go to summer school, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Everything was going fine, I had a job after summer school, and that was going fine as well. They say that summer is supposed to be fun and exciting, and it usually is for me and my family. However in July my father started coughing up blood. My father usually doesn’t make it his top priority to go to the doctors, so he waited about four weeks until he really didn’t feel good.
...iful adults, and a grandfather as well. I ended up a champion for the same kind of people I used to mistreat; all in about 20 years. I am not proud of the way I was, and I do not blame anybody but myself. If not for that “life-altering” moment though, I may not ever had begun the change. That resonating sound of the slamming cell door will be with me for the rest of my life. I can still feel it pulsing through my body, keeping me on the right path, and focusing me on the goal. But that is not enough; without my god, my family and my friends for support, I never would have made it. If you take anything from my words so far, be sure it is this:
Throughout life, people are bound to make mistakes and go through hard times: it is inevitable. Although many people are blind to it, these setbacks in life often bring valuable lessons. Life lessons help people better themselves everyday. The most important life lessons that I’ve learned are about friendships, family, and being on a team.
...saw that bad experiences in life should not turn you into a cold person and allow your heart to become guarded.
I learned a lesson that day- that you will do okay if you try hard and think you can do it. When I
I have turned many challenges or obstacles into something good but there was one time when I
There have been tons of things that I have learned and been taught in my life, by a number of people such as family, teachers, or even friends on occasion. The things they taught me vary from math and other related subjects to just some truly simple yet meaningful life lessons. However, there is nothing quite as unique, quite as special as a person teaching themselves a life lesson. It really is an amazing accomplishment for a person to teach themselves something. It is not quite as simple as another person teaching them something because it is not just the transferring of information from one person to another. The person instead has to start from scratch and process the information they have in their mind in order to come up with a new thought
It was dark that night, I was nervous that this dreadful day was going to get worse. Sunday, October 23, 1998 I wanted to start writing this to tell about the weird things i’m starting to see in this new neighborhood. Gradually I keep seeing pots and pans on the sink suddenly move to the floor. I would ask my sister but she is out with my mom and dad getting the Halloween costumes. When they got home I didn’t tell them what I saw because i've seen Halloween movies and I have to have dissimulation otherwise the ghost will come out and get me first. October 24, 1998 I think I got a little nervous yesterday with the whole ghost thing. 12:32pm, Went to eat lunch with the family today and I go to get my coat. I heard the words furious and madness,
