Happiness is fake, like something forced upon me; something not real, fabricated and I don’t like it. I’m supposed to like it though. I’m supposed to like everything the government forces on me. I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t feel content with my life, everyone else seems to be perfect while I’m falling apart at the seams.
“Sadie! Come down here right now!” my mom yelled at me.
“What!” I hollered back.
“Why do you have a D+ in government appreciation! That’s the most important class, if you don’t bring that up to at least a C+, you won’t graduate!”
“Because it’s stupid, and pointless so what if I don’t worship the government, so what if I don’t graduate.” I thought. “I’m sorry mom, ill try my hardest to bring it up next semester.” I said, in a fake sorrowful voice.
“You better!” she snapped back.
Uggg, I hate school ever since they changed the curriculum to add government into the schools its been a nightmare. The have taken over everything!

“The resistance is growing we can’t control whether or not they take the pills.” The head cabinet member stated.
“Well we can’t force feed it to them. Can we?” another man asked, unsure of himself.
“Can we put it in something that everyone eats, like bread or water?” a young member stated.
“Maybe just dump it in the tap water!” the head member exclaimed.
“Or create a brand advertising a new ‘miracle water’. The public will love it! And we can make money off of it! It’s a win-win!” the vice president added.
I can’t believe these people just want to drug the public just to stop, political opposition and overcrowding. The new drug “pleasure” as they call it, is a “fantastic” solution to political rebellion, overpopulation and people being upset. Why d...

... I swarm of people barged in the broadcasting station, they looked like a fully equipped and trained army they looked so mad, and anger. Half of the rebels head straight for us they rescue us and take us back to their headquarters and train us to become generals for their army.

The war has finally ended; it was bloody civil war against the people and the government. The people finally won and took over the government they returned the once democratic country to its former state and read history to make America the best it’s ever been. I was president, president Sadie, I like the way the sounds. I continue to lead America in the memory of my mother and that if you really believe in yourself and everyone around you, you can make a difference. Happiness is real, not something forced, and something that will never be fake and fabricated again.
“Hell, no,” Alex scoffed. “How I feed myself is none of the government’s business. Fuck their stupid rules.”
“So those bites were really given to you buy carnivores?” Gilbert asked. He liked watching the Discovery Channel too much.
“Dad: [Bangs table, silverware jumps] ‘Cut the crap. She knows what’s up. The interim reports came today. Listen to me, young lady. I’m only going to say this once. You get those grades up or your name is mud. Hear me? Get them up!’ [Attacks baked potato.] Mom: [annoyed at being upstaged] ‘I’ll handle this. Melinda. [She smiles. Audience shudders] We’re not asking for much, dear. We just want you to do your best. And we know your best is much better than this. You tested so well, dear. Look at me when I talk to you.’” Speak, Laurie Halse Anderson
School is something we all know and understand. Regardless of whether we wanted it or not, we have all passed through school. School is, first and foremost, a place designed for people to go and learn. It is a place to better yourself, to learn facts, discipline, to learn social and economic skills. But for all that school is intended for, people go for different reasons. Some are hardworking and academically minded, they go to learn, to set a good foundation for their future, with an aim of becoming successful and accomplished in their career. Others are carefree, going for the social side, to be popular, have lots of friends, and in the end just to have a good time. For others it can even be a place of safety, a place where they can get
I looked around, I saw many of my friends. Friends I knew were going to fall today. Straight ahead of me were our opposing enemies, these people had caused so much destruction to our land, they took many of our families as we have with theirs. The only way to end this war now was to finish it.
Growing up as an only child I made out pretty well. You almost can’t help but be spoiled by your parents in some way. And I must admit that I enjoyed it; my own room, T.V., computer, stereo, all the material possessions that I had. But there was one event in my life that would change the way that I looked at these things and realized that you can’t take these things for granted and that’s not what life is about.
"You look like you want to ask a quesiton, so you might as well ask it while we have some relative peace and quiet" He stated, his focus going to his food as he continued to eat, though his ears were all for
A calm crisp breeze circled my body as I sat emerged in my thoughts, hopes, and memories. The rough bark on which I sat reminded me of the rough road many people have traveled, only to end with something no one in human form can contemplate.
Many girls of different ages fantasize about the perfect wedding, perfect husband, a gorgeous dress, and the happiness to come after the wedding. At one point I was just like these girls. I saw marriage as a paradise that everybody should experience. Around tenth- grade, my rose tinted glasses were removed and I witnessed just how bad a marriage could get to the point of divorce. The divorce my parents went through, changed my entire view on monogamy. I now see marriage in a more realistic point of view and that it is not an easy journey as I once had thought it was.
Recreational drug use has been controversial for years. Government has deemed the use of certain drugs to be dangerous, addictive, costly, and fatal. Governmental agencies have passed laws to make drugs illegal and then have focused a great deal of attention and money trying to prohibit the use of these drugs, and many people support these sanctions because they view the illegality of drugs to be the main protection against the destruction of our society (Trebach, n.d.). Restricting behavior doesn’t generally stop people from engaging in that behavior; prohibition tends to result in people finding more creative ways to obtain and use drugs. However, just knowing that trying to control people’s behavior by criminalizing drug use does not work still leaves us looking for a solution, so what other options exist? This paper will discuss the pros and cons about one option: decriminalizing drugs.
School is useless! Why do we have to stay in crowded room with weird people, being taught weird stuff? Well students don 't really realized it but there 's a reason for learning these so called useless stuff. From elementary and through a student’s academic career, students would have to sit through hours and hours of lectures and session trying to get the years over with. All students has the ambitions to do well and get job and be prosperous. However most of the time that wouldn 't happen because students would be half hearted into the their work and they would not believe the fact that the subjects like math, reading, science and ect. would come back to bite them at their rear. shockingly enough, a lot of the things accomplished by man is
I sat and watched a forty-year old woman who could not pick up her own tissue as she sobbed about her condition. She lost her hands and legs to no fault of her own. I was mesmerized as my father skillfully interviewed her with compassion while he was obtaining the information to evaluate the legal basis of her claim. As a child, I would often accompany my father to his office, the courthouse, other law firms, and clients’ businesses, which only increased my curiosity for all of the work behind investigating and developing complex cases. I would especially look forward to the days when I accompanied my father to the Harris County Civil Courthouse to try cases, as well as for depositions and hearings. Additionally, I spent many years attending
Thumbs Out A girlfriend of mine once defended me to her father by saying, calmly, “Not everyone who wanders is lost.” The dad kicked me out of the house anyway. But the damage had been done. Not everyone who wanders is lost.
Having explained the reason most children have become disheartened at the thought of school, I now turn my attention to the students who do realize school’s educational value. These are the students that will continue to prosper throughout their lives because they realize the extreme importance of education. There is a secret, yet not so secret, motivation behind their determination to exceed standards and expectations in school. The secret they withhold is their overwhelming desire to be successful in the future.
Happiness is a state of mind. The dictionary definition is "feelings of joy and pleasure mingled together”. A feeling of happiness is more than just an experience of joy or pleasure. It is a state of mind where the individual feels that “life is good”. As Aristotle says, “happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” I believe that everyone wants to be happy in life. One is abnormal if he prefers to be sad and alone.
