The best journey of my life so far was when I traveled to Hawaii for the Hawaii baseball World Series in July 2014. The team I went with was from San Diego and not one person from that team knew me besides the coach, which was my girlfriends grandpa. My best friend Mikey Alvarez and I had been chosen to play for the team and when I found out I was playing in Hawaii I was so excited I started to yell “Hawaii here we come,’’ with an extreme amount of excitement. Two weeks before my family and friends family went to Hawaii, we left to San Diego to meet up with the team. We left at the crack of dawn so that we would get there midday and it was very hot, especially because it was so packed in the car. Luckily I had nice ice cold refreshments to
My journey to Brazil it was just like a dream that come true, I remember when I decided to change myself but I couldn’t find what really would make me take the first step, so the journey to Brazil has done me a favor , it was the first step to what I really wanted to accomplish, I was shy and unsocial but in this journey I had changed ,I had started to talk with strangers and make friendships with everyone and that was inner challenge for me and I never
Out of all the trips I have taken, Cancun was definitely the best. It was 2013 and I was in fifth grade. I had known about the trip for weeks and I was so amped up for the plane ride, for the hotel, and especially the ocean. I was in science and the teacher was getting mad because I was distracting all the kids by jittering all over the place. Finally I heard my name called over the intercom and I leaped for joy and ran out of the classroom. From school we drove to the Iowa Airport, got our tickets and loaded onto the plane. Our first plane took us to Chicago, Illinois where we boarded a plane , at the O’Hare International Airport, departing for Cancun,Mexico. The second plane was very lengthy, I tried to sleep but I didn’t actually fall asleep
Our next stop when Ensenada, Mexico. While we were getting off there was a mariachi band playing and folklorico dancers dancing and taking pictures with everyone. Further down were about thirty to forty little stands selling knickknacks, candy, art, and souvenirs. We were not sure what we would do there, but we did hear people were taking a tour of the town and it took you to different places where people do stuff there. The tour guide first took us to historical parts of the town like the revolutionary park, then they took us out to eat where I had the best tacos! After we ate, we saw a brochure on the bus that showed people ziplining. We did not know that we could have done that there. The chaperon asked the tour guide and he was such a
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
After two plane rides and a long four hour bus trip all fifty of us finally arrived in Farmington, New Mexico. It was my first time being away from parents for more than a couple days and my first mission trip. I was extremely nervous. I thought the trip was gonna be a miserable ten days. It was the summer going into my senior year and before I left I was having a blast hanging out with my friends, going swimming, riding bikes, and relaxing every single day. The last thing I wanted to do was go on a church mission trip, but my parents insisted that I go. My parents said, it would be a, "great experience" and "life changing." They were right! I did not believe them until I got to the reservations. Met all the amazing Navajo Indians and learned
Each of us had learned something from that trip. For me, this experience has taught me what gratitude is, the impact a good attitude has, what a servant looks like, and really how the relationships we make with our life are the most important aspect of life. It was the summer after my freshman year of high school. Earlier in the year, my parents had decided that they wanted to go on a mission trip as a family and serve somewhere.
On December 21, 2017 at 2028 hours, Officer Allday and I, Sgt. Wilson responded to 1693 Highway 90 (Fred's Pharmacy) in reference to a Malicious Mischief call.
When my sisters asked why the pack lived at a different place mom just said that the den was only for pups being born. It is also used as a way to raise the pups, until they are strong enough to live with the pack. Mom then led us to where the pack was staying and we met all of the other wolves (Wolf). There was one wolf that looked like he was hanging back from the others. Mom said that he was the lowest in the pack because he was different from us and he was also weaker. When I asked how he was different mom told us that he came from the humans and that one of his parents was in a human’s pack. Mom told us not to worry about him hurting us because he knows better.
Sunday mornings used to consist of lethargic snuggling underneath oversized thermal blankets while binge-watching Netflix for hours with family. Weekends were my favorite because it was the one time during the week I was able to laze in the comforting presence of my mother whom I rarely encountered because of her hectic work schedule. Since my parents divorced when I was only about five years old, I was raised by a hard-working single mother for the majority of my life, 2,614 miles away from my estranged father whom I rarely talk to except on birthdays and national holidays. Not only did my mother have to balance supporting me, but also my grandfather in the Philippines who was in critical condition after his third stroke in May of last year. My aunts and uncles could not cover the medical expenses on their own, so my mother invested as much as she could for the sake of her father. The distress and devastation my mother
Over the course of the writing year I have learned many new skills. It was very helpful to learn these skills because know I know how to use them in real writing and speaking.
It was a summer in Tahiti. I had never been there before, so everything was foreign: the sights, the sun, the ocean, the people, the way the air felt on my skin. I was taken away with how intriguing the country was. It was amazing to observe how other people lived outside of my small town in Southern California, outside of my country I call home.
My personal experience was when I went to California for the first time. It was one of the best, most fun trips I have ever experienced in my life. I am going to tell you why this trip was one of my amazing experiences throughout my lifetime. To begin with, to drive from Phoenix to California, that would be about a 5 hour drive and I thought it would be shorter but I was clearly wrong. I went with my step dad named Travis, Mom, older sister, and younger sister.
I can easily say that the University of Colorado-Boulder is the perfect place that I can see myself achieve success in my architectural engineering career, the place I would call home for the next four years, learning and making friends. Throughout these years I know I will be able to make a difference throughout society and not just be a number or a statistic.
Not every journey of one’s life cannot be always memorable. But when I think about memorable journey, I think about my journey when I was processing my paperwork for a visa. Processing my paperwork for a visa was totally challenged my patience. Every single day I had to follow up every single paper work that I sent to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. There were times that I really thought of give up, but I was also thought about my dreams to come to America and be together with my husband.
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
