It was me and my friend in my car. We had drove over to St Louis, Missouri during the summer. We were 9 hours away when we had decided it was time to drive back home to Des Moines. We had hopped onto the highway and we were heading home. We wanted to arrive home at around at least 7pm, but it was already 12pm, and we were 7 hours away. I started pushing the gas. I was trying to speed us home as soon as we could. My foot began to push harder and harder onto the gas. The speed limit was 80 miles per hour, but I was going well over 90 at this point. My foot pressed down until the dash went from 100 to 130 miles per hour. I was flying past every car on the highway. I was jumping lane to lane trying to pass everyone in traffic. I couldn’t slow down so whenever a car appeared in front of me, I switched lanes to pass. I was jumping in and out of lanes flying past any car that was on the highway. We hopped onto the shoulder and i began flying past the semi. One light jerk to the wheel made me instantly start swerving and the front right corner of my car smacked the semi still going over 100 miles per hour, causing my car to be shot right off the road. We flew into a ditch but somehow i managed to control my car.
