Goals, plans for the future, hopes and dreams yet to come true. It is what all of mankind has used to thrive on, the thought of what they wish to soon achieve. But it all starts with one question they have to ask themselves. “What do I want?”, “What do I want to be known as?”, “How will I get there?”. Asking myself these questions had me decide what I want to achieve in the long road ahead of me. By the end of high school, I want to participate in at least two extracurricular activities. When I get into college, I want to have had my major planned, then after, find a career I love. One more goal of mine is a personal goal, and that is to learn Spanish. My goal for high school is to participate in at least two extracurriculars. This is because
I want those two extracurriculars to be listed on my college application. Studies show that students that participate in extracurricular activities are more likely to get accepted into that college. They look for dedication, leadership, balance, true involvement, and specialization. And I believe that by participating in an extracurricular, it could show all those traits. My goal for college is to have a major planned. Even though I want my major to be in the field of chemistry, dreams can change. And it can be heavily stressful when to decide what you want to with the rest of your life. Assuring my major, will save me from the struggle of deciding what I want to be. Though, most likely my major will be in chemistry. After I graduate from college, I will pursue the goal of the career world, finding a career I love. They say you work for something you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life, and chemical engineering is something I love. Since 5th grade, I’ve grown into a deep love for chemistry, and using chemistry to help others. Using chemicals for the good of the world has always put me under a huge influence. And ever since then, that was my dream. My last, and personal goal, is to learn Spanish. For quite some time, I’ve been thinking about how nice it would be to learn Spanish. However, with homework and baseball, I haven’t really been able to get to it. And now that I know how important it is to know Spanish, I see my Spanish class as a great opportunity to finally learn. I’m hoping to know Spanish by the end of freshman year. What will I do to achieve my goals? For high school, I will try out for track and join at least one club. For college, I will know what I want to do with the knowledge my major gives me. For my career, I will earn the required degree for the career I wish to have. And for my personal goal, I will continue to keep on my Spanish to eventually learn it. Although my plans I have set for the road ahead of me may seem dull, I certainly have high hopes for them. Wanting to participate in at least two extracurriculars, having a major planned, finding my dream career, and learning Spanish. It all may seem plain and simple, but they’re goals that are worth working for. Some of those goals even fit well together. And so, there states my goals, my future plans, and my hopes and dreams yet to come true.
One extracurricular activity that I am very passionate about would be the FFA. FFA has taught me so many things and it has brought me so many places. I 've learned how to be a great speaker from different events my advisor has challenged me to do. Public speaking has taken me so many places and I have attributed most of my success to FFA. When I was a freshmen I competed and received gold in the creed speaking competition. As a sophomore, I tried extemporaneous speaking and received a gold for that as well. As a junior I really wanted to challenge myself so I took up agricultural sales as my winter career development experience. I ended up being recognized as the state runner up individual agriculture salesman as well as the 15th best agricultural sales man in the nation. Now as a senior, I have been going around speaking at different school board meetings, advocating
These goals have been in part influenced by my childhood and Hispanic Heritage. Had it not been for the vast efforts of my parents I may have never had the chance to receive a quality education or even vision post-secondary options. When I was two years old my father was in an accident, he had fell two stories at work. This accident left my dad in a coma for 17 days and in a vegetative state. I was little at ...

I recognize myself very energetic and social. I always give my true opinions about someone else’s work, but create an idea that can benefit them. And I am extremely persuasive over any subject I am passionate about. I would be a good fit for a public relations and fundraising manager because I am very social, I am recognized as a leader, and I am a bilingual individual.
“Never underestimate your own strength. You were born for a purpose and are blessed with the power to achieve it” (Leon Brown). I have this quote printed out and on the wall next to my door so I can see it every day as a reminder to myself. I believe that we all have a purpose on this earth and that everything we go through on the journey there has a reason whether to teach a lesson or set an example. We have places where we want to end up and goals we want to achieve. We set these goals and dreams to help us fulfill the purpose we see for ourselves. I believe my purpose is to help people in their times of need. To fulfill my purpose, I will need to use my personal, academic and career goals to create a pathway to get to where I want to be
Sitting on a gold throne, platinum rings on each finger with servants at my beck and call; wouldn't this be the good life? Growing I was a privileged child and never really understood the monetary value of cash. Everything I ever desired or inclined any preference to was given to me. And me being the child I was, with my developing mind embraced these gifts without a second thought. Though as I approached middle school, I started to take on more responsibility and slowly discovered the essence of hard work and the satisfaction of redeeming myself from a downward spiral of expecting to have things handed to me with out necessarily earning said luxuries.
There are many things that I hope to accomplish and do when I get older. I want to improve and accomplish different things for myself in my career that I choose, in my material goals, and spiritually. I'm looking at the year of 2009, I will be out of college and be on my feet, hopefully. I have high expectations for myself and hope to accomplish as many of my dreams and goals as I can throughout my life.
In any workplace the need for a great leader with strong leadership skills are essential. A leader can make or break any business. Everyone has a story and we all have our own journey. I am the first born of four children. I live with both my mother and father. Even though I grew up with strong morals, I still strayed away. My parents pulled me out of school in the beginning of the second semester of ninth grade because I was hanging out with the wrong people and doing the wrong things. That may have seemed like a good idea at the time but it only made me rebel even more. After my parents pulled me out of school, I didn’t continue my education. The last grade I completed was 8th grade. By the end of what would be twelfth grade if I had stayed in school, I was living with this guy that talked me into escorting. Pills were the only thing that kept me going during that time. My parents sent me to a rehab in Delray Beach, Florida on September 9th, 2013. I stayed in treatment for forty-five days. I decided to stay in Florida and live in a halfway house after I got out of rehab. After about two weeks of living in a halfway house, I ended up relapsing. I was on the streets and in and out of crack houses for about a month. This was one of the roughest times of my life. When I finally had had enough, I got on a plane and came back home to Arlington, Texas. Getting my life on track had to be my first priority. I had to change the people I hung out with, the places I went to, and the things I do today. I have chosen to be a therapist at a drug/alcohol rehab center because I wouldn’t have made it back if it wasn’t for my therapist at the treatment center I went to. I want to help people with their drug addiction just like the amazing people that gave me a foundation and helped me start in my recovery over drug addiction. My goal is to get through my basics at TCC and th...

Within a liberal arts education a student is able to explore their creativity, while also learning the essential techniques needed to think critically. This type of education encourages students to broaden their perspective, and it challenges them to think globally. The education that is being described is one that I wish to acquire. Ethics is basically a set of moral values and principles of one’s own or an organization. It is diagnosticating between right and wrong matter. Ethics is derived from a Greek word ‘ethos’ which means character or habits. ”Ethics is not definable, it is not implementable, because it is not conscious, it involves not only our thinking, but also our feeling.(Setzar 1709-1784)”.However, ethical values could be different among different individuals or personalities as everyone has their own precedence in life and also they have different cultures, religion , nation and nurturing according to which they prioritize their values. Moreover, these ethical values play a vast role in attaining certain goals in life either personal or professional. Goal is basically a result or achievement that one tends to acquire in life. But one shouldn’t earn his/ her goal on the cost of their ethical values. I believe that everyone should have specific plans to achieve desired goals in life but one should always emphasize on his/her own ethical values while making these plans to achieve goals. Many people however set a certain time limit to fetch their goal. I have various goals in my life that I wish to accomplish in my life. First of all I would like to discuss my personal goals. Personal goals are really important in one’s life to have a happy present and pleasant future. Personal goals are what one wants to see himself/ herself in person. My Personal goals are firstly to fulfill all the promises that I have made with my family. My family is in first place for me. I want to make my family proud of me.
